Glad to be a subscriber, and *really* glad I found you on Twitter. I feel like the elderly old lady carrying this sign: “I can’t believe I’m still having to protest this sh*t”. Thanks for calling out the “shitweasels” and their “24/7 firehose of fucknuttery” wherever and whenever you see them. 👍🏼
That goes ditto for me. Two different network reporters (BBC and ABC) approached me at two different rallies and asked me why I was there and what I thought; I think because I am an old gray haired lady whose been shouting in the streets of DC since 1968. My response is always “I can’t believe I’m still out here protesting the exact same things as I did 50 fucking years ago.”
You should have been doing this or something like it, many years ago. (You're older than me. No offense). Guaranteed to get a LMFAO evey time. It's like George Carlin meets Bill Maher. Keep up the great work! 👍
Oh, no, it's you whom we all thank. You have the high pitch of anger and you say it so well. I'm 79 and though I do take chances and do things a lot of people probably turn and look down and say, oh, I wish she hadn't said that or done that, there you are, Jeff. And if you've only been at it six months, it's obvious this has been waiting for you to finally come to and do it. I for one am profoundly grateful and my other high-pitched friends and it was not just Twitter I first discovered you on, it was people posting you and quoting you everywhere. If you sit there and think ever, I'm really an imposter and they're going to find out, no, you're not. You're the real deal and in the horrors of where we are as a country at this time, you can actually make me hoot and holler with laughter and scare the dickens out of my cat. Who fortunately is my only roommate. So she can be bought with treats. THANK YOU for all that you do!! And that you appreciate your subscribers bantering back and forth with each other, that is part of the perfectness of this place to be.
Secondly, you’re spot on about the community feeling here. I’ve felt it more and more as time goes by.
And last but not at all least, if I’ve learned one thing about leadership in my 8 plus decades, it’s that when you choose a direction and go in it, when you look back over your shoulder you’ll be surprised by how many people are following you.
Thank God for your writing (s), sometimes it's the only thing that gets me through the day! I live in Ohio and you know the circus clowns here, from the Governor 's Office on down. 🤷♀️🤷♀️
💯! My husband grew up in the Greater Akron area, and although he and his family were all UU’s (Unitarians) apparently they were outnumbered. I ask him WTAF is going on in Ohio on a daily basis. 😩
First time poster. Been reading your tweets for a long time, then discovered your substack. I was a free subscriber then figured you more than earned a paid subscription. Thank you for your dead on observations and the laughs. It’s better than crying.
First time I read a tweet of yours - I laughed - & boy was I relieved. Somebody who says out loud the nasty stuff I was thinking! The long version is way better. Happy 1/2 bday!
Loved your Twitter feed and then was so happy to find you here since I left Twitter once the man baby took over. The laughter you provide is worth every penny. Keep fighting the good fight.
Hey. Jeff! Congrats on your half birthday! Thank you for giving us a place where likeminded (aka sane) people, who are living in this MAGAt-infested cesspool, can simultaneously laugh and be reassured that there are others like us. Some of us need to be reminded (daily, if possible) that we haven’t lost our fucking minds! Keep up the good work!

F***, YES!!!!
WITH YOU!!!!!
Your Substack is the one I most look forward too every day. You are hilariously insightful. Thank you. Please keep writing.
just to make it clear: as long as people keep reading, I'll keep writing. at this point I have no plans to stop
You better not stop. We will not be consoled by pale clones after this.
…but no pressure Jeff ;-)
Should we really tell him that part? LOL.

The old Bill Maher maybe not this current version
Agreed. Maybe it was Covid-brain?

Same! Except I have 2 cats to scare. And a husband who hears this on a daily basis: “Glenn! I gotta read you what Tiedrich says!!! 🤣🤣🤣”
That what I do, too!
Oh, and another thing, I'm on Political Wire and your Tweets, Jeff, are posted many times on many threads every single day.
what is this magical "Political Wire" of which you speak, Mary?
A left-leaning blog run by Taegan Goddard. politicalwire.com.
Thanks Mary. Subscribed!
Excellent.
perfectly said.
Firstly, I love the name. It fits perfectly.

I have the exact same story.
Same here!
Same!

I feel very privileged to be entitled to your opinions. Please don't stop.
Same here!

If it wasn’t for your presence on social media, I might be moved to slap random people on the street ... so please keep it going.
Sarcasm rocks and rules. Keep it coming.

I never subscribed to online news/information until Jeff. I loved reading his tweets! He just flat out says what the rest of us are thinking!
I'm glad you're on here because being on twitter is harmful to my well-being.
Please promise you will never clean up your language. Plain speech is very cathartic in these fucking horrible times.
