Happy Father's Day! I'm just hanging around missing my dad—but also taking the opportunity to remember what a great guy he was, how much he loved me, and how he was probably the primary contributor to my being able to remain upright. Crazy family, fantastic dad.

I’m spending the day with my dad who turned 100 on 12/17/22. He’s still pretty sharp and has a great sense of humor. He served in the Philippines in WWII joining the Marines at 18. Married my mom in 1947 and adored her until she died at 94. He is truly wonderful person and an inspiration to all who know him. We are so lucky to still have him in our lives. Happy Father’s Day!

My father died on 12/30/2008. Mesothelioma. Navy Cancer.

I dream of him almost every night.

He got out because he was an engineer and was up for Vice Admiral, which would have made him a politician, and he didn't want that.

I wonder what he would think about me living in Vietnam.

I had a fabulous dad named Corky. My nickname until a teenager was Little Corky. I looked just like him, a girl version of him. I lost him when I turned thirty. You are never the same after losing parents no matter the relationship. When I feel mischievous , I know that’s my dad in me. Love you forever daddy Corky.

My parents were divorced when I was three and my father mostly disappeared out of my life. But I did have a wonderful Uncle Tikey who took his place. He was funny and loud and I adored him.

Happy Father’s Day! I’m doing what you’re doing, but in honor of my amazing Dad, who’s been gone a very long time, & my husband who’s a wonderful Dad, & our son, who’s a brand new Dad - I’m dressed slightly better than usual.

My father would have been 94 on Memorial Day. He’s buried at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies. It’s nice when they can share their birthdays on such revered holidays.

Happy Father’s Day to all who are Dads. Mine has been gone almost 40 years, but think of him often. He was a great dad to his kids and a kind and wise counselor to our friends. Miss you Dad!
