What an embarrassment...I couldn't even watch the clips--I cringed when I read the transcripts. And the letter to Brazil was a whole series of ginormous cringes. (heaving a big frustrated sigh...)

Imagine some other head of state, writing to Donny and telling him what he should and shouldn't do and oh, by the way, we are going to be adding a honking big tariff on your goods because you are being big mean to a buddy of mine. Wonder what Donny would do?

Probably a giant toddler-style tantrum with lots of flung catsup and quite possibly a nuclear bomb threat. Donny is a stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid, stupid creature. (I may have left out twenty or so stupids)

Americans have a very short memory. The fucking pool-of-plasma-formerly-known-as-republicans have set the effective date for the medicaid, ACA, and SNAP cuts after the midterms.

“‘Republicans backloaded a lot of the Medicaid and ACA cuts,’ said Larry Levitt, executive vice president at KFF. ‘There will be few tangible effects in health care from this bill before the midterms.’”

https://www.axios.com/2025/07/07/medicaid-impacts-tax-bill-delayed

“Medicaid’s funding changes under the law are not scheduled to take effect until 2028, well past the upcoming 2026 midterm elections. Some work requirements could come earlier, however. They are to begin no later than Dec. 31, 2026.

In the past, the federal government has funded the program while states have taken on the cost of managing it. Under the bill’s conditions, states will be required to partially fund SNAP if they have a payment error rate of 6 percent or higher beginning in 2028 — two years after the midterms.”

Linda, I am absolutely NEVER embarrassed by anything Donnie says or does. You should not be either. He OWNS that all by himself. Only, he is not embarrassed because it is not in his mind to be.

I posit that we need to put some energy into insisting that we will not ask the federal government for services and not pay them taxes, and then trust our states to cover us. All US states have GDPs that are as big as other countries, as well as bigger than other countries with similar sized populations, and can afford to be supporting their services themselves, with a fee for the shared military, or our own militaries, and we pool them when we need to. This is what Switzerland does. They have almost no federal taxes and everything is provided for by the states which are the main taxing entities. Also, all homeowners in Switzerland are required to have a bomb shelter in their basement.

Yes, like California, the state that is the fourth largest economy in the world (its economy is only smaller than that of the entire US, China and Germany.) Even the nine counties of the San Francisco Bay Area are the 17th largest economy in the world. We really should not belong to the "United" States anymore, and neither should Oregon and Washington.

What, you haven't heard of Caskadia? That's Washington, Oregon, and California as one province, part of Canada? We'll continue our economic success, our cooperation, and our work on the climate crisis. And, and, we won't be supporting states like Tennessee and Texas, which need our federal tax dollars to keep going. That's why the red states are known as "taker" states. There's also the small matter of the west coast ports. I wonder what t will charge as tariffs on products coming east on trains and trucks, after they've been unloaded off ships from Asia.

It's his own delusional interpretation of the English language which he murders daily. When the lost in space emperor made the stupid shit reference about people at the table not able to speak English as well as the classy and very tolerant Liberian president, there wasn't a chance in hell he was talking about himself. After all, Dump was too far into the clouds to even realize who he was meeting with.

Maybe Americans whose food prices are going to soar through the roof with the whammy of tariffs and capturing enemies who happen to work in agriculture will care. There are apparently no ships in the harbors from China and no ships which have left China in the past month, so learning to stock up, and perhaps make your own toilet paper will be a good idea. I have heard leaves work, just don't use poison ivy. Or we can all go with Bidets, but then aren't they made in Japan? We have to have water to use. With global warming and data centers that resource is disappearing fast.

Jeff, your reporting on the visit of African leaders just pointed out how fucking stupid, that our president is, how he is deteriorating rapidly, limited vocabulary, limited in thought.. he just doesn’t give a shit 💩. That prefrontal cortex’s filter is gone, just like that “locomotive on the tracks” that brain ain’t coming back. “Golf with MAGAS” will be infrequent during the summer as the temps rise. I played with 2 MAGAS who were very silent on politics the other day, due in part of ICE actions. I stated that I expected ICE raids to intensify as the funding, more than the Russian armed forces receive, to kick in.. I mentioned that ICE has rented several floors in a hotel near DisneyLand and fully expect draconian results as they conduct a sweep of the “happiest place on earth”. I also pointed out that Trump/Miller are creating a concentration camp network, Florida, Texas, Louisiana to name a few, lease the inmates out to private firms like McDonalds, take most of their pay, basically slave labor. Not much of a response as this hit them like a ton of 🌮🌮🌮. We are all riding in the same cattle car… Best to All
