pro tip: hassling Joe Biden at a cemetery is not journalism
and how fucking tone-deaf do you have to be to brag about it?
just when you think our worthless, corporate-controlled media has sunk as low as it can, here comes ABC reporter John Parkinson.
this past weekend, John was super fucking pleased with himself, because in his mind he had committed an awesome journalism.
John caught up with the president and asked Biden if he would pardon his son Hunter.
nothing special about that, right? just a reporter doing his job and asking questions. perfectly normal.
oh wait, I left out the best part:
this shouted question happened while Biden was at a cemetery, visiting the gravesites of his first wife Neilia and their children Beau and Naomi.
wait, it gets better:
Parkinson was so proud of having harassed a grieving man by shouting asinine questions at him from across a cemetery, that he went on not-twitter to brag about it.
how fucking tone-deaf do you have to be to boast about interrupting a silent graveside moment to shout a completely inappropriate question?
over fourteen thousand commenters absolutely roasted Parkinson for his act of supreme assholery. he then deleted his tweet.
there are so many better ways John Parkinson could have been spending his time.
here’s one idea — for John and for the entire political press:
how about accurately reporting that the Republican push to impeach Joe Biden is a sham based on a lie?
look at this war crime:
almost half of voters suppport the impeachment inquiry.
why? because the shithole media isn’t reporting the facts.
Americans aren’t hearing that the lunatic wing of the GOP is forcing this impeachment out of spite and revenge.
they’re not hearing that there’s zero evidence of crimes.
they’re not hearing that this is a political act designed to hurt Joe Biden during an election year.
in the absence of factual reporting, all the general public is hearing is right-wing noise — and now, nearly half of America is tragically misinformed.
oh, and while we’re at it, how about accurately informing the public that the current budget crisis is happening not because “Congress is deadlocked” — it’s not “Republicans versus Democrats” — but because one maniac wing of the GOP is fighting the other maniac wing of the GOP.
got it, media? that’s what you need to be doing — and not wasting our time on some ghoulish performative-nonsense cemetery-side fuckery.
