Ms Spouse points out that Donny always calls Bill Clinton by his first name and never insults him — as if they were friends. which makes you wonder what kind of shit they've gotten up to together

Unity In Defiance's avatar

Whoa! Thats a really good observation!! And makes a lot of sense.

The files released are all so incredibly damning—and I guarantee Dumb Donnie hasn’t read any of them, because he doesn’t read. So he thinks he can just throw others under the bus like he always does and have nothing stick to him. But god damn, these files are like tar and feathers for that fucker.

He’s mentioned 36,000 times in the files.

Chris Hierholzer's avatar

More like a gazillion times...Michael de Adder has a great toon out today about Melania movie and root canals. I told him he's A VERY BAD BOY!!

Stephen Schiff's avatar

The SZ has taken to seriously trolling the Orange Turd in their editorial cartoons. Saturday's showed a line of people queued up outside a movie theater with "Melania" on the marquee. They all have both arms raised and expressions of fear on their faces. The guy at the head of the line says (transliterating) "Since I must, blocked view seat, pease". In the foreground facing toward them, is Orange Turd, wielding a machine gun. Who says the Germans don't have a sense of humor?

Leslie Goodman-Malamuth's avatar

In Key West, root canals are available only on alternate Tuesdays. Everyone would still line up rather than watch “Vanity Fuhrer.”

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

You’re right Chris, it’s magnificent!

Skepticat's avatar

Michael de Adder actually is a VERY, VERY, VERY good boy. He makes me laugh every day, and that takes some real skill.

James Starr's avatar

ha! yeah, 36,000 times (maybe more) and that's an awful lot of times for someone who has never been anywhere close to E- Island ! my God, the insanity from this orange Bozo.

Unity In Defiance's avatar

EXACTLY!! You who isn’t in the Epstein files 36,000+ times? You, me, and anyone reading this.

See how easy that is???

Pam Humphrey's avatar

And, since Donnie (the world’s most prolific lying liar and the lifetime winner of the International Trump Piece of Crap Prize) said so, the American people should believe him. Right?

James Starr's avatar

so many do believe him, especially the evangelicals and their followers.

Joseph Luongo's avatar

And he’s still president. And in no danger of losing the presidency. No wonder the rest of the world looks at us and just laughs.

Bonnie Council's avatar

Because nobody, apparently, in his entire sorry life has told him to just sit down and shut his filthy lying mouth. Which I would love to be the one to do. I'm so freaking sick of this sorry despicable excuse for a human.

Dave Drell's avatar

He’s despicable beyond despicable …. he’s just a bursting trash bag of personality disorders (from Jeff T)

Bonnie Council's avatar

Indeed. Perfect description.

Denise Donaldson's avatar

IKR? I'd pay to slap his ugly face.

Susan Burgess's avatar

It’s not funny anymore.

Grace Kennedy's avatar

Also may explain why he hates Hillary so much.

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

There was a rumor he wanted Bill, in the 'biblical knowledge' way

Karen Livolsi's avatar

36,000 times…so far. There are a few million pages still in queue to be released. His name is probably in those docs about 100,000 times.

Wendy The Druid 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🌈's avatar

I mean, if you read the epstein files deeply enough you find.....well you know what you find.

Finding out that Robin Leach strangled a girl to death was NOT on my bingo card for 2026.

Anastasia Pantsios's avatar

Not really. It's very unlikely Clinton was involved in the nefarious activities, given what we know publicly about his tastes. And he doesn't act like a guilty person — he's urged the release of the full files, and hasn't objected to anything or tried to justify himself.

Patricia Williamson's avatar

I know that Clinton, like many others, flew many times on Epstein's plane. He loaned it to people whom he wanted to curry favor with. I know the girls have said they flew with Clinton, but none has ever accused him of anything.

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

Yes. Clinton always has his secret service, security bodyguards with him, one of them would have talked by now, even just to his buddies, to brag about what he saw were it true, they tend to be conservatives after all.

Leigh Hamilton's avatar

If he pushes Clinton too far, he'll be forced into depositions and revealing testimony and evidence, money trails, etc., in court. He'll leave Clinton alone. But if Clinton is innocent, shouldn't he be pushing the case to go forward for a release of evidence? He may be the only one powerful enough to make things happen.

NEAL O'CONNOR's avatar

Clinton did call for the release of the entire cache of Epstein materials. I don't think he's swung his weight around to get everything out there, but at east he's on record.

Anastasia Pantsios's avatar

Clinton has limited influence on Trump who has totally corrupted the DOJ and controls it via his puppet Pam Bondi. Without an independent DOJ, Clinton has no pull.

Dr J's Sanity Space's avatar

100%! Orange monster has an almost instinctual sense of detecting strength in someone that he knows he can't bully. I think bullies are that way so they do not mess with one who can out do them.

Kate's avatar

Exactly—Noah adding Bill to the mix for his dig to rump is a classic bullshit “both sides” thing that gets us nowhere. Never been a fan of Noah’s from the jump, not sure why, but something always bothered me about him.

Anastasia Pantsios's avatar

Yet Bill is not threatening to sue, because only one person is a thin-skinned bawling little baby who just soiled his diaper.

Dr J's Sanity Space's avatar

Oh I love Trevor - he is funny and socks it to everyone...

NEAL O'CONNOR's avatar

Don't know why you don't like Noah? Really? He grew up a poor kid in South Africa, and he was so promising that he was chosen to replace Jon Stewart on the Dailly Show. He's funny and direct. I wish that Clinton were more camera-shy when he's relaxing, but he was there, just like Trump.

T L Mills's avatar

TY. I think Trevor Noah is very funny and I very much enjoyed his book, "Born a Crime".

Kate's avatar

Just never been a fan, goes way back, had nothing to do with this incident.

Randy Nerbas's avatar

It's cool. I like him, but everyone has their own tastes. I always thought the "I can't believe you don't like X ..." thing was so odd. It would imply that the person saying that likes absolutely EVERYTHING, which most likely is not the case.

Except for bacon. I can't believe there are people out there who don't like bacon, religious exclusions notwithstanding.

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

He's of the generation that got the Russian propaganda lies about Clinton being a rapist. Alot of young people believe that, because the republicans don't do consent, so they don't understand consensual adult affairs.

Bungalow Baby's avatar

Read his memoir. You’ll change your mind.

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

Thank you, he has been used as a whataboutism ever since trump was exposed.

🌷IntheHalloftheMtnKing's avatar

I dunno.

Where there is smoke....

Anastasia Pantsios's avatar

There's not even any l "smoke" here though. And keep in mind, fabricating "smoke" is the GOP's special skill. I can attest from my 2016 canvassing that the "smoke" created by "her emails!" influenced voters to stay home. Almost all of the people I talked to who said "Of course I'd never vote for Trump but I just don't like Hillary" cited "heating about her emails" as the reason but not one of them actually knew what it was about. It was just smoke, nothing more.

🌷IntheHalloftheMtnKing's avatar

Clinton is not a GOP smoke thing imo.

Bill Corbett's avatar

I saw this reported yesterday and wondered, "is this true"? Also hearing that his administration is full of people in the files and that makes sense as the cover up is far and wide. What a shit hole country we live in. We need to wipe its ass come November.

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

The nude young girl pictures, and those of the victims, along with their birthdates, is a curious way of redactions!

arne link's avatar

They are just being hateful. Shameful.

Bill Corbett's avatar

The more that gets dripped out the dumber they look, and I do mean drip. Drip a little here and then do some crazy thing over there to distract from the drip. These people are evil, very evil.

Dana Jae Labrecque's avatar

It's vile and another way to spell that is EVIL. DEEPLY EVIL.

T L Mills's avatar

First we need to kick it's ass. Wipe it clean comes in 2028.

Bill Corbett's avatar

Clean up on aisle 47.🤣

Sharon Hudnall's avatar

No statute of limitations for murder, so consequences? Leach's victim might have been one of many girls who were snuffed out within the Epstein world, some for threatening they would file complaints or bear witness. Also, didn't Lewandowski brag to a woman he was sexually harassing at a fundraiser that he had killed people? I think Michael Cohen knows more than he's telling.

Cheryl Fleming's avatar

I gotta wonder about Michael Cohen, period. He knows EVERYTHING because he was in all of it up to his eyeballs. And maybe still is. He's a lying sack of sxxt.

There was a threatening file, where Trump used the threat of murder in a signed statement by the victim. Surely not the only girl to receive such a message. Sharon.

Jan Moon's avatar

I wonder if there's any (accurate) record of the number of girls murdered, "lost" or disappeared during all those years. I can't imagine any of those inhuman creatures having even one iota of compassion in its soulless being.

I literally was just saying a moment ago to my spouse that if our country and world DID NOT allow billionaires to exist NONE OF THIS would EVER happen.

The earliest dates on this depravity in the files is like late 80s~1991.

Now look at this fact: In 1982 only thirteen billionaires existed.

By the year 2000 there was a total of 470 billionaires worldwide.

These files show so much depravity between that time frame.

BILLIONAIRES SHOULD NOT EXIST.

If they don’t exist, there is no money to fund their depravity and evil deeds.

Sharon C Storm's avatar

They at simply hoarders. They hoard money.

Bonnie Council's avatar

And those 470 billionaires - without even losing much of their money - could solve world hunger, cure some deadly diseases and educate a whole, whole, whole lot of people. But no. They'd rather hoard it for...what? The hereafter? Right.

T L Mills's avatar

Well, the techie billionaires think they may somehow discover or figure out a way to live forever, dontcha know?

Bonnie Council's avatar

I guess. They're still gonna be miserable SOBs though.

Al S's avatar

Yes, "trickle- down" economics has worked out exactly as planned.

Lisa K. Obrien's avatar

It just seems to bring out the very worst in people, doesn't it?

Dr J's Sanity Space's avatar

I truly wonder where the thirst for mo' mo' mo' money comes from. I know it is greed, but once you have the biggest car, yacht, mansion etc., and the lifestyle those provide, what more can you want?

Bonnie Council's avatar

That's why they're so miserable - they found out money couldn't buy happiness.

Dave Drell's avatar

Why you want 10 of each of course! And when they die they hide their assets to avoid taxes.

Tully's avatar

They hide their assets while alive to avoid taxes!! With that much money, why do they care? Just think what America could be like if all the billionaires were taxed at even only 22% !!!

Pam Humphrey's avatar

It all! They want it all.

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

True dat Dana, likely why they’ve declared war on we the serfs’

Lady Emsworth's avatar

Oh, finding out that ANYBODY who is now well and truly dead is in them is on ALL my bingo cards.

Who else who is long dead are they going to reveal - because they think it will keep MAGA happy?

You can bet your sweet little boots no one who is still alive will be named as a definite perpetrator - to much risk that they'll talk. They couldn't avoid jailing Ghislaine - but they've made damn sure she's not going to say one word. And do you honestly think she couldn't?

PJ Schuster's avatar

Oh she definitely could. I just read yesterday that after the FBI arrested Epstein for the final time, they didn’t bother to lock down the NYC house & post an officer there to prevent destruction of evidence!!!! We know damned well that would have been done if it was any regular person accused of operating a sex trafficking ring. So Ghislaine was able to go in there & remove all of the computer hard drives & other evidence. The FBI never even searched Zorro Ranch in NM.

The ghastly incompetence or even purposeful dereliction of duty is astounding & highly suspicious. It makes me so enraged. Some poor Black kid in the same city can spend 3 yrs on Riker’s Island for just being accused of stealing a damned backpack; while these disgusting pieces of slime are allowed to steal evidence. We know Ghislaine has all those hard drives with video evidence of horrific crimes, & she’s using that to blackmail DT & likely many others; Bill Barr for instance.

Sharon Hudnall's avatar

Yep, Barr's name comes up in the Epstein files as a client. Not surprised he "visited" Epstein in his cell two days before his staged suicide.

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

He's a second generation client then, his dad hired Epstein to teach at the prestigious Dalton Prep academy, as a college dropout.

arne link's avatar

So horrible, and he will pardon her as he leaves office. Hopefully he dies first but who knows?

Leigh Hamilton's avatar

I caught my breath when I read that the DOJ wasn't going to release the videos containing violence, abuse and death. What?!

Carol C's avatar

Yeah, it’s abuse, if not violence and death(!) that is what was being investigated.

Leigh Hamilton's avatar

I meant to say, it's ALL abuse of course, but to admit there is violence and *death*! on those videos...I was dumbstruck. I wouldn't care if it was my own father, I'd want him in the slammer.

Murder is not beyond them - for the right price, right? Pay enough and they can have snuff sex. OMFG.

I read a rumor that they killed puppies to show what would happen if the victims talked and I thought, "Oh please. That's taking it a bit far" but now maybe not so much.

Leigh Hamilton's avatar

Robin Leach? Well that makes sense. "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" and dead. Whoever he paid is an accomplice though, right? Wonder who that might be. /s

Tim Trew's avatar

Then I might just be a super hero 😉

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

He was a weird kind of parasite, and started that whole worship of the "rich, and famous", crap.

Christine Zepka's avatar

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

I remember ads for some mindless drivel, on the tube years ago, yet can’t recall anything else about this tosspot Wendy.

HI2thDoc's avatar

Even though Bill is a horndog, I do not see him stooping to the depths of raping underaged trafficked kids that apparently many others have. But who the hell knows anything anymore.

CBA's avatar

And if, on the off chance there is probable cause, prosecute him for it. Easy-peasy. The difference between your average Democrat and the average trumpie is we don't cultivate blind loyalty.

Babe Paley's avatar

This is something I've also noted--his tastes seem to run to fucking around with adult women (though in a subordinate position in many cases). And not even "childlike" adult women, or "barely legal" (ew).

Anastasia Pantsios's avatar

Exactly. Monica was the youngest we know of at 21, and she was a zaftig womanly type.

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

And she pursued him.

Bill likes them zaftig, for the most part. He just goes with those most available to him.

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

I can’t recall Arne, was Lewinsky more full figured?

Stephanie Lajeskie's avatar

That’s very astute of Mrs. Spouse, and I think there may be something to it.

sjbeans's avatar

I do hope that Hillz takes time out every day to smack Bill with a shoe.

meryl selig's avatar

Ms Spouse has excellent intuition! Bill has had a zipper stuck in the “open” position for his entire adult life. Of course those two were “enjoying” life à la Epstein

Stephen Brady's avatar

Hillary called him “a hard dog to keep on the porch”.

Anastasia Pantsios's avatar

Not likely, given what we've seen of Clinton's tastes in women. They weren't tastes Epstein was serving. I'm scratching my head at why people on the left are almost drooling to find Clinton guilty. Is it virtual signaling or what? I'm baffled. But I think you folks will ultimately be disappointed.

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

Some on our side are susceptible to the years of republican propaganda. It sinks into popular opinion. Especially younger people who didn't live through it.

Clinton was president in the last century so it's not really relevant is it? ancient history these days

Lady Emsworth's avatar

When you realise there are people aged around 30 who have NEVER HEARD OF BILL CLINTON!

You think I'm joking? Between TikTok and the American education system, the country is swarming with ignoramuses.

Saddest part of all is, they're not ignorant because they're stupid - they just don't get the chance to learn anything. And the biggest thing they don't get to learn is - how to learn.

Carol C's avatar

Lady E, you said it better than anyone I ever heard. I might add, they don’t want to learn anything that might not have come from TikTok, etc.

Cheri Collins's avatar

So true (retired educator).

MzNicky in East Jesus, TN's avatar

Why is it “irrelevant”? Is there a statute of limitations on child rape?

Cyndi's avatar

Actually, yes. Varies from state to state. Not sure about the Virgin Islands, though.

Generally between 15 and 50 years stateside.

Carol C's avatar

Ancient history was stuff that happened more than two weeks ago, seems to me.

Priscilla Feral's avatar

Oh, come on. Don't go there. The way he has stalked and slandered Hillary Clinton is an insult also to Bill Clinton, and everyone who loves her.

Stranger Than Friction's avatar

Let's see: the message from Trump's DOJ/FBI is that there's nothing more to see in the Trumpstein files, and that any mention of the current POTUS in those files is "fake" according to Todd Blanche, the Deputy AG. Not worth investigating and pursuing.

Whereas Bill Clinton, former POTUS, has insisted that the Trumpstein files be released ASAP, that both Hillary and he provided comprehensive sworn statements to Congress about Epstein, and in a letter he wrote with Hillary to Representative Comer, explained why they would not be appearing in Comer's Congressional circus hearings to be grilled for hours about their so-called involvement in Epstein's crimes.

I think of the two Presidents, one looks incredibly guilty of both crimes against underaged victims and being part of a conspiracy to cover up his involvement in said crimes, while the other is married to the woman who ran against the guilty one in 2016. I'll believe the Clintons were part of a pedo conspiracy when there is proof. If there were, I think Republicans would have rushed to release it already. I do not believe for one second that the Clintons, separately or together, are on good terms or friends with the Pedo President.

Trump wants to be seen as being important and a celebrity. He is always ready to denigrate women and to speak of other famous men as if he were on their level and is very familiar with them, certainly to drop their first names casually in his communications. He lies like he breathes and has committed terrible crimes. That's what my lying eyes and ears have told me about Trump. Bill Clinton fucked up while in office and in the end, helped the Republicans to gain power over time while helping his wife not at all.

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

Bill Clinton is a sex addict, but not a rapist, or a pedo, or he would not be asking for said files released. It works better for tangerine Palpatine, if the files never get released then they can keep insinuating about Clinton as a red herring.

Elizabeth Schulz's avatar

Ha! I just said to hubby (AS I read it all out loud to him as usual), isn't it weird he not only watched every SECOND of the Grammys to see if they talked about himself, then he calls Trevor 'Noah' but Bill Clinton 'Bill' AS IF he knows him but WE KNOW he doesn't? Clinton has never acknowledged him by so much as a flicker at funerals and other events while happily chatting with the Bush family and others - this from the guy who was and still is SO popular and well-loved by those who voted for and liked him. I don't believe frump knew or knows him at all, frankly. It's a holdover from his attacks on Hillary - pretending he 'knows' her husband in order to insult and hurt her with the David Pecker Enquirer utter bullshit. Think about it. They WANTED her to believe more went on than just Monica and I will tell you all now that Bill Clinton is NOT and never was a pedophile. Frump is desperate to include a prominent Democratic President as being just like himself but it won't wash. Women and girls THREW themselves at Bill Clinton when he was younger because he had that 'warm-ish' appeal. Ask any of the men OR women who worked for him - I've known more than a few. IF he'd been more of a cad he could have been 'involved' every day of the week. He simply doesn't have (didn't have then) the molester/rapist/pedophiliac mentality. He WAS very attracted to Monica, that's for sure. If she made her attraction clear (as she did), then it was on, but the other? Nope.

Chocolate Hole got its name because the bay’s water can turn a deep, chocolate‑brown color—especially after heavy rain—due to sediment runoff from the surrounding hills. This distinctive appearance led locals to name the area “Chocolate Hole,” and the name stuck.

I hoped it was because they follow you around with a box of great dark chocolates and keep sticking them in your MOUTH HOLE whenever it gets empty.

If the Office of Legal Counsel provides an opinion that a sitting President should not be subjected to a criminal trial - because there are remedies in terms of impeachment, and because otherwise a President would spend all of their time responding to various criminal indictments and trials -why is a sitting President allowed to pursue civil lawsuits?

It seems the OLC should state if this President can be plaintiff in civil actions they have given up their right to be insulated from criminal proceedings.

So who all saw the confirmation that Tulsi Gabbard is an actual Bond Villain this morning?

WSJ got this out today:

“U.S. intelligence official has alleged wrongdoing by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard in a whistleblower complaint that is so highly classified it has sparked months of wrangling over how to share it with Congress, according to U.S. officials and others familiar with the matter.”

Anastasia Pantsios's avatar

I can't get past her threatening Hillary Clinton after Clinton said she thought the ONE of the women running for president as a Democrat was a Russian asset and Tulsi jumped up and said "I'M SUING." Interestingly, Elizabeth Warren and Amy Klobuchar and Kirsten Gillibrand and Kamala Harris and even Marianne Williamson did not feel the need to publicly deny this and threaten to sue. (Six women were running at one point.) Hmmmmm.... hit dog?

2Cats2Furious's avatar

I’m not sure Hillary even mentioned the gender of the Russian asset. But Tulsi was sure quick to complain it was about her.

Hit dogs will holler, and all that b

Anastasia Pantsios's avatar

She actually did say it was a woman. But with six women in the race, there was no reason for Tulsi to raise her hand. (Unless she was guilty!)

2Cats2Furious's avatar

Fair enough. I couldn’t recall specifically.

Robert Eckert's avatar

From context it appears that Hillary was referring to Jill Stein, who had spent the 4th of July with Putin (with some other interesting characters at the dinne)

Anastasia Pantsios's avatar

No. Not so.

She said, “I’m not making any predictions, but I think they’ve got their eye on somebody who is CURRENTLY IN THE DEMOCRATIC PRIMARY and are grooming her to be the third-party candidate. She’s the favorite of the Russians.”

Robert Eckert's avatar

I stand corrected then.

Anastasia Pantsios's avatar

It's easy to forget in light of everything that's gone down. It definitely wasn't one of the four Democratic senators, so that left Tulsi and Marianne and then Tulsi basically CONFESSED.

Robert Eckert's avatar

I remembered the bit about "grooming her to be the third-party candidate" but not "currently in the Democratic primary"

Susan Niemann's avatar

Someday, probably many years into the future, America will find out just who WAS a Russian asset in this administration.

I don't think Trump and Gabbard are the whole of it.

With what is being semi-revealed in the Epstein files, NOTHING would surprise me.

Martha Howell's avatar

Start with the 7 GOP congresspeople Putin ordered to celebrate the Fourth of July 2018 in Moscow, who then came home and told us Russia didn't interfere in the election. Most, including senator, Ron Johnson, were associated with Russian spy and future member of the Duma Maria Buttina.

Carol C's avatar

I am glad Martha has brought this up. I was wondering why Republican Congressmen spent the 2018 Fourth of July in Moscow. That Putin ordered it makes more sense than whatever reason they gave at the time.

Maybe Putin’s schedule was full except for American Independence Day, who knows?

I believe that in the four years of the Biden presidency, they were all meeting in cult like fashion, swearing an oath to Project 2025 that nothing, nothing would stop them from allowing it to continue. Even though they would find much of it repulsive to their constituents, they must keep to the oath. I also believe that most of the Democratic Party finds itself in the same position. There are only a handful of Democrats speaking out publicly. We are living in an unending episode of Black Mirror meets The Twilight Zone meets The Sopranos.

That heap of smelly trash is the only thing they found floating after their ship went down, so they cling to it. Because they couldn't rouse themselves to stop him, he's now all they have left. And some are heading to the exits.

Sports betters are saying he'll get his next stroke or a heart attack on Feb. 17th, but I can't get too excited because it makes me feel like one of the Rapture crowd who are always disappointed.

What a way to make Chinese New Year really special this year!

Yesterday would have been MAVELOUS🤡‼️

When is trash day, again? Is it on Monday or Friday?

Hollie Rood's avatar

We’ve gotta wait until Friday 😢

He will never sue Trevor Noah, because in order to sue for slander, you have to prove the person was lying—and the discovery alone will deter him from going anywhere near that shit.

Reader/Writer's avatar

Yeah, discovery is a bitch.

Nancy Torkewitz's avatar

That’s what I was thinking. Bring it!

Annabelle's avatar

Ooops, Stephanie, I just tried to post about that, but I don't know shit about it, so it's kinda garbled. I wasn't tryin to copy off you. 🤦‍♂️🤷‍♂️👍

Stephanie Lajeskie's avatar

I would never accuse you of copying me. We’re all thinking the same thing!

Annabelle's avatar

Yes we are! It feels good to me because for a long time I thought I was wrong feeling about twatwaffle like I do. Everyone I am around are Magats. Then I found all of y'all....it was such a relief to know I wasn't crazy!

Dave Drell's avatar

Magats everywhere… but don’t they look stupid now? Supporting a known PEDOPHILE for god’s sake!

Annabelle's avatar

It's amazing to me that ANYONE supports twatwaffle at all! I truly cannot find a single redeeming quality in twatwaffle. That's beyond pathetic

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

That's because there is not one. Unless "he makes me feel smart because I'm so stupid." is one.

Gayna's avatar

This isn’t related to today’s commentary but I found it hilarious this morning when I read that dickwad is shutting down the Kennedy center because it’s in such bad shape that he will take two years to fix up! Bwahahahahaha! How to try to save face when absolutely no one will perform at your shitty behest. It gave me such happiness. That idiot will let that building just sit until his time is up or hopefully he expires before it. Then his shitty name will be removed and people will come right back to the exact same building that is suddenly just falling to pieces. He is such a transparent tool and there are so many of his cultists that are so stupid they believe it, but this old bat knew right away what a load of shit that was.

arne link's avatar

That was my first thought, that no one of any substance will perform there. Also, I believe the venue underwent a complete renovation a couple of years ago.

Caroline (PDX)'s avatar

That and, I think I read in the Guardian, ticket sales are down 47%!

Robert Eckert's avatar

He might bulldoze it and announce that he has beautiful plans for the refurbished building, but like the ballroom it will not get built.

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

He's tearing it down, he said he will use the steel in another project and the marble.

From Jeff's post yesterday:

"reporter: “you announced you wanted to build a new and spectacular entertainment complex at the Kennedy Center. do you plan on tearing it down?”

Donny: “I’m not ripping it out, I’ll be using the steel. so, we’re using the structure. we’re using some of the marble, and some of the marble comes down.”

spoiler alert: oh, he’s tearing the Kennedy Center down, all right. we all heard the same bullshit lie about the East Wing. Donny swore up and down that his vulgar Epstein Dance Hall wasn’t going to touch it at all — and then we all woke up one day to the sounds of bulldozers ripping that shit down.

this demented megalomaniac just can’t leave well enough alone. he won’t be satisfied until he’s clownfucked DC to the point where it’s unrecognizable — all in service of a weak and fragile ego that will never be satisfied.

oh, and if no one wants what Donny has in store for our nation’s capital? that’s just icing on the cake. bullies are never big on consent.

so now there are going to be two smoking craters in DC where tasteful, elegant landmarks used to stand — and god only knows what shittacularly fugly eyesores will go up in their place.

I'm still practicing self-care by not spending as much time on Substack, but I have been reading my favorites - just not the comments sections. This will be my only comment today, I couldn't resist! Thank you, Jeff! And Mrs. Spouse - who's right, as usual!

arne link's avatar

You are wise to practice self-care. I am also cutting down, although I support several Substacks financially because they deserve support. I will never give up on Jeff, though.

Annabelle's avatar

I, too am doin the self-care thing. My nerves were gettin to me BAD. I'm so scared we won't make it 3 more years. Hell, I'm not even sure about making it to midterms. Seriously. He should have already been removed. Real-talk

Megan Ross's avatar

Don the Con, the consummate grifter. Our coffers will be completely empty by the time that disgusting predator is done pilfering everything. Geezus. Can he just die? The world would rejoice. Ugh.

Bethie U's avatar

He STEALS! Say it! Let's make certain that everyone understands clearly what he is doing...including children. Even Donald understands that word. He is taking what doesn't belong to him and putting it in his piggy bank. That makes him a thief.

A LIAR and a THIEF. A national treasure! Thanks, 77 million American morons!

Megan Ross's avatar

And, thanks to the 90 million people who sat on their butts and didn't even bother to vote! It still infuriates me! Grrrr.

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

I don't think I will ever get over that betrayal, they counted on every one else to save them.

Megan Ross's avatar

Just like they did in 2016, when they sat home because they figured Hillary Clinton would win in a landslide. NEWSFLASH: candidates don't win without votes! I'm still pissed about THAT. too!

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

They bought the straight-uncut Russian propaganda, it is so embarrassing when our supposed allies fall for crap like that!

T L Mills's avatar

And, unbelievably...it isn't enough for him to steal from the U.S. Treasury with his bogus lawsuits...no, he steals the money from the sale of Venezuelan oil (an dputs it in an account that only he has access to!) and the same deal with his stupid Bored of Piece "admission/joining" fee...that goes into an account that only he has access to. Who next will he hold up while rifling through their pockets???

Christine Zepka's avatar

No, no, no its going to go to many worthy charities. 🙄. IE: asshats pockets.

YES! Can he please die? God knows he’s rotting away…

Kathy H's avatar

Don, the consummate criminal. That was the original family scam, "influence" in housing/real estate regulation, diverting funding..."waste, FRAUD, & abuse". He's just being "transparent" now, asserting everything is his. We're just another casino to ruin while he profits. This is the only "business" he knows.

And corrects grammar. There is no way that he knew that M.C. required “an” in front of it instead of “a”.

I think it might be Grok doing the writing "in the style of Trump".

Joaquin Castro gets extra points for carrying their stuff so that Adrian can carry his son Liam.

Ole Anderson's avatar

Yes, that was a very classy and knowledgeable move by Castro

Ethereal Fairy's avatar

He's a good man, both Castro brothers are.

Anastasia Pantsios's avatar

I'm still scratching my head about how Trumpsters can look at this man and see STRENGTH and MANLINESS. I actually talked to one at a party who is a cousin of a friend of mine and she told me that while she didn't agree with him on every issue, she saw him as strong, and determined, and focused, and powerful. My glasses must be dirty, because all I see is profound weakness and cowering fear.

like mr ed said ... a cult is a cult of course of course

That is one deluded blind woman.

SethTriggs's avatar

Great job by Joaquin Castro on the rescue! I hope that family will remain safe.

And does Trevor Noah have corporate bosses? I imagine there's going to be some sort of settlement or suspension to curry favor. Remember, you are free to trample on the First Amendment if you serve the unreconstructed.

You don't see Bill Clinton making threats to sue like this. Seems like people are plenty free to diss him and he takes his medicine like an adult it seems.

But yeah, audacity to be a mantoddler is part of the base model package when you serve the unreconstructed.

Lise Buranen's avatar

I wonder if Bill Clinton gives a rat's ass anymore.

Suki Herr's avatar

Donald has gotten away with threatening nuisance lawsuits plenty, but let’s support Trevor Noah in not settling. This one has everything, a 1st amendment challenge&think of all of the Epstein discovery. I’m not exactly defending Bill Clinton, but Clinton says release all of the files&Trump says no.
