Perhaps he's not 'quite' as enamoured of her beliefs as they all pretend? You can tell when it's a fake with the subname. By the way, Robert Reich posts regularly on twitter and we ALL follow him - he might just follow back some of those who think similarly.

That mustache - I'm embarrassed to admit, makes my husband close enough to being Bolton's Doppelganger. He'd often come home remarking upon just how many of his coworkers on a particular day had commented on the resemblance. I thought it would convince him (hubby) to trim his definitely out-of-control mustache and hair, but no. HE felt that he 'owned' his look and Bolton was the 'copy', lol. The sole difference at the time was Bolton's constant crabby expression, but today even that has become too close a resemblance for my personal comfort.

Biggest fault I see is not being proactive about getting laws passed whenever the Dems could since Reagan. Why can a convicted felon be president? Why are there no age limits and term limits on Congress? Why are SC judges for life? Why can someone who's under federal indictment run for Congress (Hunter in So. Cali & that guy in the Buffalo area). Both ran and won and were found guilty after the election so had to step down. Certain ethical accusations should trigger automatic inquiries and/or special counsels that the party in power can't cancel. Boy, hindsight is great in this administration. So much of this could have been prevented if we would have just been proactive instead of now, reactive. Human nature is human nature. To say that no president would ever abuse the office like Trump has is being utterly naive. There have been dirtbags since the beginning of time.

C'mon Bob. You know it wasn't that simple. NO ONE knew that we were heading into entirely UNprecedented times with CONS using every Gingrich-type dirty trick in the yet-to-be-written book to bring down our Democracy. No one could imagine they'd elect AND do the bidding of someone as unhinged and downright STUPID as frump, let alone do everything possible to roll back rights as basic as birthright citizenship and even WOMEN'S RIGHT TO VOTE (which is now on the table according to pissant pete)! Nor could anyone envision alcoholic fox hosts being appointed to top Governmental positions AND PASSED BY THE SENATE! We all believed there were failsafes in place to prevent anything remotely this nuts. Sure, we were wrong, but when we had two VERY BRIEF periods of Democratic control of Congress, not only were they working to try to pass the ACA which was a monumental achievement, but fighting against the neverending racism ramping up day by day by day against this new President we DARED vote into office. From OUR perspective he was a breath of fresh air. From THEIR kkk perspective, we'd unleashed the ghosts of their great grandpappies who couldn't tolerate an 'N' word rebellion. Does no one else remember the GOD-AWFUL LIES they promulgated about Michele Obama - and their two daughters? I'm STILL seeing that vileness regurgitated over and over. The magats believe every word. In her book 'Becoming', Michele Obama describes what it did to her family. Nothing's as easy as 'hindsight' in politics, seemingly. But what you see as '4 years' was actually 2 separate brief period and each of those VERY BRIEF times was spent working hard to accomplish important issues WE DEMOCRATS WANTED DONE while fending off the slings and arrows of their racism and other bullshit already put in place BY newt gingrich (whom I usually refer to as the 'eft' when I must). It was HIS master plan out of his hatred for Hilary and his seething ambition to elevate HIMself to the Presidency which began it all. Check back and you'll see. He even boasted about his dirty tricks. He was/is scum of the earth and set it all in motion. Democrats behaved like decent humans for the most part. while the Koch, Heritage Foundation and 'Tea Party' were beginning their plan to create their vaunted fourth reich. Need I mention it takes literal months to get an administration off the ground? Two years isn't. It's narrowed to roughly 12 - 14 months at best while wrangling so many disparate individuals from all over the country. THEY had their master plan while we've always been far more freewheeling and believers in the stability in our Constitution. Yes, it's time we became tougher and more focused and many are doing so but one cannot blame those Democrats who behaved normally for this current debacle. It's simply unfair to pile onto those who are still fighting hard TO save our democracy.

Here is Martin Belderson of the "Ukraine: The Under Reported War" Substack writing about Ukraine this week. It is a story of creativity and ingenuity in the face of war. Also, a story of Russia's incompetence. Trump is not backing a winner here, so everyone says Putin is waving that Kompromat at him, and it is believed he has Epstein files access to blackmail Trump with.

Putin is the master manipulator. However, the EU is not buying any of that, particularly the former Soviet countries are onto Putin's tactics. Ruth should have retired when Obama was president. The handwriting was on the wall. Obama was still president when Trump rode down that elevator. No reason for her to stay on like she did - age and poor health. I think she was a great justice, but we might have had a different outcome if she would have left the dance much earlier. There would have been votes during Obama's 8 years to have gotten a new younger judge in there. Same with Feinstein. What is it with power and attention that these people (both men and women) absolutely can't give up? It's not money as Feinstein was wealthy. Their egos are ruining our country. JOEL comes from the Hebrew יוֹאֵל (Yo’el), combining “Yo” (a form of the divine name Yahweh) and “El” (meaning God).

In the Bible, Joel was a minor prophet and the author of the Book of Joel.

“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions”.

Joel 2:28

It doesn’t do any good to compromise our legal standards in anticipation of corrupt Supreme Court rulings. We have to force them to rule, for the world to see how fucked up things really are. How does convicting someone of 30+ felonies and letting them waddle away accomplish anything? That behavior serves only to protect a scared little Judge who is afraid of what might happen…to him. I say

MAKE. IT. HAPPEN.

Trump inviting Putin to Alaska isn’t diplomacy, it’s dinner theater for despots. The whole “safe space for war criminals” thing really drives home that he’s not negotiating peace — he’s laundering Putin’s image. And if the endgame is Ukraine “ceding” stolen land, then it’s not a deal, it’s an armed robbery with paperwork.

The vice president's sole constitutional job is to be available if the president dies or is incapacitated. Previous VPs have joked about this. Any other job is at the pleasure of the president. Some presidents, such as Bill Clinton, Barack Obama and Joe Biden, have given their VPs a meaningful portfolio of work. Others, such as HW Bush, have given their VP almost nothing but a ceremonial role, sending them to ribbon cuttings. And in the case of W, the VP held all the power. In many ways, Cheney WAS president. So it depends. It seems like Trump doesn't trust JD, and as an Ohio voter he allegedly "served" in the Senate, I concur.
