That's MY worry too - but I doubt anyone could really carry it off 'quite' as realistically. The magat fuckwits would begin noticing that: 'ooh, doesn't he look so good today' or 'I've noticed his tan isn't so dark today' or some such. They would never be able to duplicate the rat's nest on his head OR the gap he leaves between his spray-'tan' and his actual hair (what's left of it) OR get his spew down as accurately. Putting ALL of that together would be a herculean effort UNLESS they did it all as AI with an end to LIVE press coverage and then sent out a 'body double' for walks to and from the copter. They could get away with it for a brief period of time when his brain goes completely fuckity-bye, and miller needs to buy some time, not longer. I just watched a video about miller spewing with jesse watters on fox (ugh, ugh, ugh) about how 'this is seditious' (the video released of our six lawmakers informing our military AND CIA not to follow ILLEGAL orders) but of course miller can't tell the difference. In what passes for his 'mind' the fuhrer's orders MUST BE OBEYED WITHOUT QUESTION. Gad, I think I despise that worm even more than I do frump - who's literally on his last legs.

If there's not a "Blue Wave" -all will be lost. Here's an excerpt from my latest (coming soon to a monitor or mobile device near you!) ...

Ask the Important Questions

Why don't I have enough money for a savings account?

Why don't I have healthcare?

Why isn't there decent and affordable housing?

As hard as I work, why do I have barely enough money for necessities?

Why do I get so little time for myself -to think about these questions?

Convicted felons might get time off their sentence for "good behavior". You might get two weeks per year vacation.

Over the last 45 years, non-executive pay flattened while productivity soared—and the entire difference was extracted by the wealthy one-percent through executive pay, stock buybacks, and investor dividends. Healthcare costs shifted to workers. Higher education costs shifted to families and students. Private equity devoured housing, doubled and tripled rents, and extracted profit to enrich executives and investors. None of this "created value" or made America great. It was simply a transfer of wealth from workers to the wealthy one-percent. And you won't hear about this on Fox "News".

News and Social Media controlled by Rupert Murdoch, Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, Jeff Bezos, Larry & David Ellison are never going to raise their hand and say "we're the problem". Instead, billionaire-consolidated media works to keep us all divided and directs our collective anger at immigrants, environmentalists, scientists, feminists, people of color, the LGBTQ+ community, DEI programs, books, liberals, academics, and "Big Solar and Wind".

They know if we ask these questions (and research them as opposed to accepting a default answer from one of Rupert's minions or one of Musk's algorithms) the collective anger of a unified and indivisible 99% would not bode well for any billionaire.

Well, I mean they can always keep going to the well of sadopopulism. As long as they can keep saying that government spending allows Black people to survive on their dime, plenty of Americans will be more than happy to vote for this unreconstructed transnational racist criminal syndicate. Because every single economic outcome was warned about here but there was no clout in listening to that. You couldn't get clicks for that like you could about "Oh Joe Biden is old" or "Did Kamala Harris really work at McDonalds, and is she REALLY Black?"

I just find it strange so many Republicans are panicking, really. They have a rightwing media human centipede, and the Jake Tappers of the world are wearing full-on motorcycle helmets so that they can't see or hear what the moldering pricktator is doing. They're definitely ignoring that there's no cab in his elevator shaft.

The world order needs to change and a lot of countries need to move on from the United States. There's no way to trust this country anymore especially with the tendency of people to put into power legislative and economic terrorists like these.

Furthermore, many nations are going to have to re-evaluate whether their conservative-coded bigotries are going to be worth the loss of national sovereignty when dealing with the USA.

Expand full comment
zuzu's avatar

They're panicking because they know that once they're out of power, there's a chance for accountability.

Jamie Dimon has said that he has not contributed to the ballroom (nor have any other banks) because at some point, there will be a different DOJ in place. He's well aware that the contributions are a bribe. He's also well aware that neither Trump nor his reign will last forever and at some point, there will be demands for accountability. Trump is going to escape prison, thanks to the Roberts Court and probably the Grim Reaper, but no one else in his orbit will be able to shield themselves.

There's a lot of panic because they haven't secured the kind of power they need to fully make Stephen Miller (or whoever) a dictator while Trump is still alive. He's the necessary figurehead to get the rubes in line, but he's fading fast. Also, they're fucking up, but because they're so Very Online, they don't recognize just how badly they're coming across to normies. Tim Walz had them pegged: weird.

If the Democrats take Congress and the Presidency in 2028, they would have the opportunity to expand the court and eliminate the Roberts majority. It wouldn't take long to overturn Trump's immunity. It's probably wishful thinking to believe that they would actually take action, but it's definitely a possibility. Unfortunately, the clock is ticking on how long Trump will be physically and mentally in a position to be held responsible.

Hegseth, Noem, Bondi, and others are likely facing criminal charges. As an unelected presence in the administration, it might be harder to make a case against Miller, but he definitely should be spending the rest of his life in prison.

It doesn't matter that he's unelected. He's the one who's been running things while Trump plays with his ballroom.

He's the one who has actually been making decisions and issuing orders to deprive people of their rights. To deport people. To kill people and endanger their lives (seriously, have you watched the way these poorly-trained CPB and ICE agents pursue and take down people they're trying to get hold of? They're going to snap someone's neck one of these days because they've had so little training on how to properly subdue a subject. I've seen NYPD cops, which whatever else you think of them are a highly-trained force, work as a team to take down suspects without having to pull their pants down or scramble like they're chasing after a greased pig). Miller is also a high-level government official who's exceeding the constitutional authority of his role, so that's a problem. For him.

The big question is going to be whether the majorities are going to be veto-proof. And whether the Senate will ditch Schumer as a leader. I have a feeling Jeffries is going to draw a primary challenger.

Expand full comment
Kevin Dale Green's avatar

The problem with prosecuting someone like Miller is that, despite the fact he's the one realistically responsible for much of what's going on, it's not his name on the orders. That complicates things legally. We'll have to see what happens, but I'm afraid holding him accountable for his actions is going to be trickier than with some of the other administration members.

I kinda wish you’d written a bit more; those Captains of Industry surrounding him as he spewed that vile racist invective at tens of thousands of Americans, offending millions and millions in this country, hundreds of millions around the world… how come NONE of those motherfuckers who have shareholders and boards to answer to, how come NOT ONE cried out in anger?

Because the power/money in this country right now is held by people who agree with him or just don't care because they're wealthy and white? How much apathy is there in corporate America for issues surrounding minorities? They may not say racial comments nor physical harm them, but their silence and lack of interest about these issues speaks volumes. Wealth isolates you from much of the socioeconomic unpleasantness of life. They just don't care.

It's mean-spirited. How is a person signing infringing on others' ability to listen? There also seems to be this belief that disabilities are all congenital, as if we're all not an accident or an illness away from developing a disability.
