these are the most dangerous days of our lives.

a sitting president has given federal law enforcement officers a carte blanch permission to do as they have proven to be ... COLD BLOODED MURDERERS!

MAGA IS OVERJOYED by the STRICT UNLAWFUL DETENTIONS AND KILLINGS.

our government most often providing an inaccurate report of the heinous and life ending procedures that have become the norm.

we are a country of laws and that means NOBODY is ABOVE THE LAW!

NOT THE PIGS NOT THE SUPREME COURT JUSTICES NOT CONGRESS AND NOT THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

IF IT MEANS A FULL-BLOWN CIVIL WAR THEN THAT IS WHAT IT WILL TAKE.

the criminal element of our government has shown they don't care about the laws and certainly don't GIVE A FUK ABOUT MURDERING CIVILIANS!

NOW IS NOT THE TIME TO COWER IN FEAR!

IT IS PAST TIME TO STAND AND SAY FUK NO!

OUR LIVES DEPEND ON IT! DO THE RIGHT THING ... RESIST RESIST RESIST NO MATTER THE COSTS!

FIGHT OR DIE IN THE STREETS LIKE STRAY DOGS!

I wonder the same thing:

From the FAQ's:

How often is this site updated?

In general, the site checks for new posts from @realDonaldTrump every few minutes. Videos are transcribed and images are analyzed a little less frequently, so that information may not be immediately available. The site may cache data to keep the site fast and responsive, so it's possible that you may see older data at times.

unfortunately, the bill that funds ICE also funds FEMA and other essential government agencies. that's why the Dems have been reticent to vote no. I don't agree with them, but I understand it

arne link's avatar

But FEMA has been gutted by Crusty Gnome so why support it? When this ice storm hits who is coming to help? Canada, that's who. I'm glad the Dems finally saw the light and I totally support the shutdown. They should have kept the gov't shut down longer the last time.

Mary Greenwald's avatar

Democrats caved and Schumer did not have the power to keep it from happening. He won't be able to corral them this time either. Trump can enforce obedience. Schumer - ?

HE CONTINUES TO FAIL THE COUNTY AND IT'S CITIZENS!

Keith's avatar

really? still thinking OUR government has our backs?

WAKE UP PEOPLE!

john augustine's avatar

the cowardly dems in house had the opportunity to shut this shit down but voted with the fascist Rs to pass the gestapo funding bill....I blame those 7 dems and their so called leadership for this just as much as the house fascist R enablers

SeekingReason's avatar

John, They have blood on their hands and must become pariahs!

john augustine's avatar

all seven dems who voted in house need to be primaried in the spring

Marlene Lerner-Bigley (CA)'s avatar

I do too, John! They have to lose their jobs. No more of this bullshit!

SethTriggs's avatar

That's the major play here and why Republicans do this. There's no political price for them to pay for holding things that help people hostage due to Murc's Law.

Chicky Mama's avatar

Too bad, so sad. Shut the shit down! We cannot give those lawless thugs another fucking dime. It isn’t going to help anything in the near future but it will send a message. We all should be burning up the phone lines to congress and DEMANDING they find their spine, stand up and fight back! And I hope to whatever being in the sky there might be that someone is developing the playbook to reverse this shit if ever we can wrestle control from the evil empire!

Outdoorluvr's avatar

And we should use that shutdown period for a national strike. Shut it ALL down and starve the gd profit mongers.

Richard Dorset's avatar

It’s a serious dilemma. And shutting down the government again is a risk because Trump and his enablers have demonstrated that this is exactly what they want to happen. Meanwhile ICE and CBP have their multi billion slush fund already at their disposal thanks to the Huge Awful bill

Mary Greenwald's avatar

FEMA has been abolished. It is an inactive department. ICE has too much funding now. Voting FOR more money to pay Trump's thugs is not understandable!

Sharon Hudnall's avatar

FEMA is already broken under Noem. The shutdown wouldn't last forever and the nation would survive. Local services would continue, including police, hospitals, and schools. Stores would remain open. Trucks transporting food and other essentials would truck. Flights might be cancelled but not all. This is the moment to take a stand, Democrats, and meaningful action.

Ellyn's avatar

We might have to do a national strike anyway, so be prepared to help your neighbors make it through.

Tough. Congress needs to defund ICE as soon as possible because Noem plans on doubling the number fascist agents known as ICE.

talk is cheap ... hasn't checked trump's insanity hasn't checked MAGA's insanities! how many more will or need to die before WE REALIZE this is a life and death reality.

THE KILLING WILL NOT STOP because we want them to.

THE KILLINGS WILL ONLY STOP WHEN WE MAKE THEM STOP!

WE HAVE TO DECIDE WHICH SIDE WE ARE ON! NOW!

Margaret MacKenzie's avatar

I’d rather the Dems take a little heat for not funding FEMA than selling their souls in order to look like they’re doing something. I’ve emailed both my Dem senators and emphatically told them to vote no on the bill. How many billions has ICE Barbie burned through for cosplay photo ops, eh? And is there even such a thing as FEMA to fund anymore?

I have pictures's avatar

As I understand it they have a variety of options available including walking back specific funding of line items and not funding certain line items. I will try to find that info and post here.

I have pictures's avatar

Apparently only states can do this. Chuck sounded as adamant as Chuck could be about the Dems not approving the bill. A shutdown looms.

William Burke's avatar

Schumer is saying the Dems won’t support moving on the appropriations bill with the DHS Ice funding contained in it. I think we’re headed for another government shut down. At some point, even the Republicans are gonna have to start talking about the 25th amendment.

Keith's avatar

the BALLS democrats in congress claim to have are in reality ONLY claims.

i have doubts what costs we are willing to pay to survive.

i can beat the drums of genuine resistance all i want, but until others stand and be counted my efforts are useless.

i am again prepared to die for this democratic country. ARE YOU?

i didn't think so ...

Nancy Potter's avatar

When/if we get through this period, FEMA should be broken off from DHS. An office purportedly devoted to helping people should not be tied to the office being used to oppress people. (Of course, so long as R's don't want FEMA to actually help people, maybe it doesn't matter.)

Maui Wahine's avatar

Schumer has changed his tune....hopefully he wonʻt lose his nerve. If the GOP really wants to prevent a shutdown they can carve out the DHS funding and the rest of the budget can be passed. Will they do that? It will be an interesting week.

🌷IntheHalloftheMtnKing's avatar

Susan P Thatcher's avatar

Of course, as a convicted felon, Trump lost his gun permit, so there's a flaw in his logic.

Stranger Than Friction's avatar

People everywhere seem to be confused about what to call these thugs. Krusty (G)noem calls them law enforcement officers. Others call them ICE agents who are not truly LEO because they don't cooperate with local and state LEO, they haven't gone through the proper training (and amount thereof), and so many of the those hired by ICE would be rejected by true LE as being "unacceptable." Not to mention the obviously aggressive harming and murdering and committing crimes against the Constitution (for so-called federal agents) and federal laws. So what to call them?

Jeff Tiedrich's avatar

so much to talk about with this story. I didn't get get to the part where DHS is shutting down any attempt to investigate this crime

Unity In Defiance's avatar

Kash was on with Bartiromo and when SHE ACTUALLY pushed him on "carrying a licensed gun as being illegal and reason to kill someone" Kash said "I'll leave that to DHS, they are investigating the incident."

WTAF??? DHS IS NOT A POLICE OR INVESTIGATIVE BODY!!! THE FBI IS!!!

Bob's avatar

Patel’s incompetence serves only one purpose: punish those agents who investigated that fucking asshole.

Eileen's avatar

Kash is all about the cash. 💰 He doesn’t work. He just wants all the fun activities and be wined and dined by foreign countries and on the USA taxpayers’ dime. He’s a pitiful joke. He has fired all of the brain trust of the FBI and we are in danger.

Sharon Hudnall's avatar

The most threatening group of domestic terrorists killing people are the ICE/CBP thugs. They're giving foreign terrorists a vacation.

Suel J's avatar

Patel's continuing stupidity on full display. Wow.

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

Krazy eyes Kash needs to be gone immediately for this non answer!

Wendy The Druid 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🌈's avatar

So now we find out what teeth the democratic party has over the shutdown, or will they continue to fund DHS.

Mary Greenwald's avatar

Dick Durbin and his band of Kristi Noem supporters among the Democrats will fund DHS.

Pam Humphrey's avatar

We can’t let them. Call, write, raise hell - now!

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

Shum said the democratic senators are all in agreement on a no fund bill Wendy… but he’s easily persuaded!

Bob's avatar

Local authorities with a judicial warrant were prevented from investigating the scene of the crime.

Merrill's avatar

Where o where is TACO Don? It's time to end your war on America.

Two hundred million Americans want lethally armed ICE and CBP foot soldiers out of US cities. We want local police enabled to do their jobs We want Stephen Miller, Kristi Noem and Don Bovino fired.

In 2024, 16,000 Americas died from gun shots in a homicides. How many of these homicides were a result of illegal immigrant gangs?

And how many were a result of Americans shooting other Americans?

And how many will result from ICE and CBP officers killing Americans exercising their constitutional rights to assembly and free speech?

It's past time for you to STAND DOWN.

Bob's avatar

It’s time for him to be removed from office and prosecuted for the corruption. It should be more, but that ass John Roberts gave him a Get Out of Jail Free card.

Carol C's avatar

It seems out of character that a VA nurse would bring a gun and two magazines to a protest, and no ID, or as Noem corrected herself, “no accessible ID.”

In the movies you stick your handgun in the back of your pants. Where do you put two magazines ? Didn’t his winter coat hide any gun he might have had concealed in his pants, at least while he was standing up?

Where is his body now? People might have filmed it being removed except for the teargas immediately used as a screen.

Grace Kennedy's avatar

Or “it seems unlikely a peaceful protester would show up with a gun??? “ Really, Kristi? Have you seen any Jan 6 footage? You sure awakened the NRA and paranoids around the country, dimwit.

Lisa K. Obrien's avatar

What the fuck is “accessible ID”? Are we now supposed to have our DLs stapled to our coats? Oh, I know. Maybe we’ll have colored insignia sewn onto our clothing to designate us as Radical Left Lunatics.

I’ve pretty much stopped actually sleeping. I’m too scared.

Grace Kennedy's avatar

Tattoos seem more “practical”.

arne link's avatar

It might have been a "throw-down" planted by ICE. We don't actually know. I didn't see any holster in the video.

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

We’ll know shortly Arne, it appeared that a plainclothes agent left the scrum with what appears to be a gun.

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

A gun was taken from the scrum by a guy in a grey coat Carol, Alex was pinned to the ground by ICE goons, as the undercover officer took a gun away when the first shot rang out, a few seconds later multiple shots were fired. This is very curious knowing the training for multiple shots when firing your weapon. Could the gun have been a plant? Or did the grey coat fire a first shot, that provoked the usual multiple shots? Pretti’s parents, ex-wife know he had the handgun, the state has the guns registration digits, if everything matches we’ll know more about this obvious execution.

Dr J's Sanity Space's avatar

I don’t find it odd that a VA nurse would carry a gun. This is Minnesota.

Grace Kennedy's avatar

Also don’t you think it’s their worst nightmare? Lefties with legal guns? Other than armed black women, I mean.

Janet Ridgley's avatar

Mr Pretti had a legal permit to carry a gun. He didn’t carry it out in the open or brandish it! It was legal!

Kim Steeves's avatar

ICE removed Mr. Pretti's gun from a holster on his hip as he was pinned on the ground.

Maui Wahine's avatar

A federal judge yesterday ordered DHS and the FBI to NOT destroy evidence. So hopefully local law enforcement will get ahold of it. What times we live in.

john augustine's avatar

the murdering ICE thugs should get themselves attorneys now since there is NO statute of limitations on state murder and their karma is coming

Richard's avatar

If only we knew who they are.

john augustine's avatar

they are on camera and their names will be revealed in due time once the states do legitimate investigations

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

Of course they are! We have a massive group of watchers and alert personnel in the Twin Towns who are capturing video evidence of these state sponsored assassins and goons!

Christine Zepka's avatar

Of course they are. Alex Pretti’s parents have set the record straight about their son. 🤬

JOE P's avatar

Because THAT is what criminals do. They investigate the victims and smear them even though they have been murdered BY THE US FASCIST GOVERNMENT.

Maui Wahine's avatar

Thatʻs a given. The good news is a federal judge just ordered DHS to NOT destroy evidence. A sad commentary that the govenment has to be ordered to be lawful. Hopefully the state AG will take over the investigation.

Becky Z's avatar

Sadly, it's going to be tough for the state to file charges since they've been blocked from investigating. That's why there's always been this thing called "cooperation." But that's not the country we live in anymore. States can file charges but under the Supremacy Clause of the Constitution, federal agents performing official duties are generally protected from state criminal prosecution IF: 1) the act was within the scope of their federal authority, and 2) the action was reasonably related to their duties. Even if a state files criminal charges, the officer can have it removed to federal court. There's a lot more to this issue but with a federal agent, the federal government can seize evidence first and may refuse a joint investigation. So the sad reality is, we're all pretty much fucked until we get rid of Trump and/or the dems takeover congress. These goons can go all over the country killing people and our corrupt federal government is going to cover it up. This is why our framers created the "checks and balances" system. Obviously, they were counting on government officials to respect the laws of land and be honest, decent human beings. I give them an A for effort. They didn't realize we'd have this level of corruption. BTW - I'm encouraging people to buy whistles and go to their government offices and demonstrate. Getting our representatives to listen to us is our only chance.

Jeff, as most are aware I live in AZ… i don’t like weapons, do not own any.. in this state we have open carry, the Castle Doctrine and Stand Your Ground.. The murdered deceased had a permit for concealed carry.. why are the Feds lying about this individual and his 2nd amendment rights? Secondly, the letter Bondi sent to Minnesota last night was straight up extortion, a typical mob tactic. ICE will leave…. If…. You give us your voting rolls… This is the strategy for battleground states…. ICE is here in AZ now, going into Latino parts of town in Phoenix, going door to door.. they want to trigger a violent response.. I’m sure Bondi will put the same deal on the table.. all for our personal information. 1 Country, 1 People, 1 Leader as a little man from about 100 years ago in Europe pronounced.. Seems to be the MAGAS way to stay in power and frankly I’m not feeling like the mid terms will take place.. Best to All Fellow Travelers, especially today.

I used to want to retire to Prescott, as it was my favorite place in the state. But, yikes. It is so uncomfortable to be there these days - I feel like they can sense my antifa from a mile away! 🤣

ICE is now a govt. run death squad.

Another Gestapo murder! Then the Browshirt thugs rounded up the witnesses and made them disappear. The Nazis are lying. They are gaslighting. WE KNOW WHAT WE SAW! THANK YOU TO ALL THOSE BRAVE SOULS WHO FILMED THE SLAUGHTER!

Thank you Jeff.

As the U.S. Senate contemplates providing $10 billion in funding for Miller, Noem, Bovino, and Homan to continue their abuse of power, ignoring the Bill of Rights, murdering, detaining, and kidnapping men, women, and children -

First: Do not. Period.

Second: While you debate funding keep in mind that there was a negotiated bipartisan compromise Border bill that was destroyed by the GOP’s felon President.

Third: How many more people have to die, how many more families must be ripped apart, how many more must suffer due to your betrayal of your Oath of Office and your lack of courage?

Maybe her demand came in after you’d written this Jeff, but blonde bimbo Pam Bondi said that ICE would leave Minneapolis if Minnesota would turn over their voter registration records to the Federal Government, aka Trump’s private organization of election fuckery. And here I was thinking this is all about getting the worst of the worst out of our country when the worst of the worst are actually in charge of our country. And for those who don’t get the sarcasm I never believed those lying mother fuckers; not for one second

I'm not one for public swearing, but Walz's response should go as follows:

Dear Bondi:

Go fuck yourself.

Very truly yours,

Governor Tim Walz

I wouldn't put it past any of them to try this but of all the slimy, corrupt, blackmailing attempts. Everyday they sink to even a lower low than ever imaginable.

Todd Blanche's line seems to be: the fact that we killed this guy proves they were not peaceful protests. Stop gaslighting the government!

"Don't make me hit you again!"

Projection and begging the question in one statement (and arguably an over-generalization for the hat trick).

"now for your heroes of the day: the brave — and I do mean brave — Minnesotans who used debris — and then their own bodies — to block an armored vehicle from advancing."

I guess the US is just Belarus with prettier makeup.
