Grief follows no rules; it comes and goes as it will, unexpectedly; it will not be controlled or commanded. Keep this thought through the waves of pain: we only grieve for what we truly loved. I can only tell you, from experience, that it does get easier. Problem is it never gets back to as good as it was, it just gets to be different kinds of good times that you learn to appreciate. It sounds like you're doing very well with your coping strategies - just hang in and go day to day.

I am so sorry for your loss. I recently lost my wife and still am struck with a profound sadness. The current crap going on in the name of we Americans only adds to my sadness. Is this whom we have become as a nation? It appears to be. How do we save ourselves?
