mental health break
we interrupt this broadcast...
friends,
it’s been eight days since the passing of my wife Claudia.
continuing to write these daily posts has been for me an essential part of my grieving process. but it’s all become a bit much, and so today I must take a day off.
let me once again take a moment to say thank you to the thousands of people who have posted, commented, private messaged, texted, and phoned to offer condolences. I love you all. I am blessed to be surrounded by an amazing, caring community.
see you tomorrow.
but wait, before I take off — this wouldn’t be a real post unless it had some serious Donnyloathing in it, so here we go.
here’s a thing that happened yesterday that’s simply too fucked up to ignore: Preznit Fuckwit held an Oval Bordello dog-and-pony show, ostensibly to celebrate Black History Month — but Donny being Donny, he quickly made it all about himself, praising himself for his imaginary accomplishments, and whining about every grudge and grievance.
and then there was this.
“frankly, if these radical left lunatic Democrats would come and say, ‘please, help us, please,’ we’d stop crimes all over the place. and we’re doing it, in a lot of cities. sometimes we have to force ourselves upon them because they’re so bad."
shut. the fuck. up, Piggy.
it’s head-explodingly stunning how fundamentally incapable this fuckface is of talking about governing without making it sound like rape.
it’s almost as if that kind of language comes naturally to him. gee, I wonder why that is.
oh, and here’s your daily dose of holy fucking shit: the Andrew Formerly Known As Prince has been arrested.
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested Thursday morning on suspicion of committing misconduct in public office, according to the Associated Press and BBC.
‘misconduct’ — now there’s a euphemism for the ages.
but wait, there’s more: ex-South Korean president Yoon Suk Yeol has been sentenced to life in prison after being found guilty of insurrection.
how nice it must be to live in a country where the rich and powerful aren’t eternally above the law.
friends, thank you for hanging in there with me. I’ll be back tomorrow.
here’s your daily reminder that I can be found on Blue Sky at this link.
this is going to be my closing message for the foreseeable future:
practice self-care. do what you need to do to keep sane. if that means you need to disengage with my daily posts for a while, I get it. this community of ours will still be here when you return.
to all the people who have signed on in the days since the election, welcome aboard. settle in as we all try to deal with the shitfuckery that’s ahead of us.
we are all in this together, and we are all here for each other.

by the way, I am very aware of how lucky and privileged I am. most people do not have a hundred thousand or more people who care about them. that has to make a difference in the grieving process. so, once again, thank you. I love you all
Take a mental health day- lord knows our president has never taken one! 🤣 Seriously- take care of yourself & see you back when you're ready. Much love.❤️
