Jeff, I'm thanking Ja every damn day for your substack. You bring such great levity to the most horrific era in our American experiment.

I’m not sure whether the resolution to expel Santos will pass or fail...and that really explains the state of our democracy.

But not because they are appalled by his behavior , but rather they think it will shine a negative light on the party and affect their ability to get re-elected. This week it seems Santos might be the least of their worries. The shit-show that played out in both the house and senate yesterday wasn't exactly a good look for the GOP either. So they all adjourned and went home. It's not like they actually govern anyway, or I would like what they accomplished if they did, so I'm ok with that.,

Now that Santos has said he won’t seek re-election I don’t think Repugs will vote to expel. All they care about now is having his precious vote in their slim majority.

Sounds like it could very well happen this time. However, wouldn't it be nice if 91 felony indictments would finally get the twisted GOP to have had enough of the treasonous tangerine turd's endless bullshit?

Oooooohhhhh...I hadn't heard that about Rudy Colludy. Deep Doody, indeed! I continue to appreciate your take on the absurd that is our state of affairs. Laughed the whole way through. Except the part about Cocaine Junior and his sick Pelosi meme. God, I hate these assholes. 🙄

Junior is a whole warehouse of shit, a WOS, if you will. He actually disgusts me more than anyone else in that cabal posing as a family. He does all that he does to seek daddy's love, and then when he doesn't get it because daddy isn't capable of it, tries to make up for it by snorting coke and trying to forget, while his fish-mouthed girlfriend encourages everything.

It's funny, scammers like Santos live in an alternate universe. It would never occur to the vast majority of us to do a single scam, but for born scammers, it's how they do every single thing every living day. How does a brain even work like that? It seems like so much more work than just being honest.

I have a scammer in the family, and it just looks exhausting. You have to remember which scam you're running on which guy, and which lies you told and who might want to beat you up so you can avoid them. So much easier to get a nice job, put your hours in and go home without a worry in the world.

"The men are accused of helping to spread the falsehood that Ukraine, rather than Russia, interfered in the recent US elections." This is the complete opposite of what #45 claimed. I wonder if this will somehow come back to bite Rudy Colludy in the form of some type of federal charges for colluding with Russian agents?

The media is responsible for the Myth of Trump. Shows like The Apprentice are a fiction, painting T as some kind of business genius/wizard, when the actual record points to what an inept bafoon of a “businessman” he is.

I'm with you, Jeff. I'm astounded at the people who blindly follow anyone. I can also say I've never seen a president have a fan club. People follow his rallies around the country like he's Jerry Garcia! They dress up in flags and wear their stupid red hats and carry signs. The man is a tyrant, a narcissist, and most likely a sociopath. It's not like he's hiding it, yet his followers don't see or hear. Crazy!

I’ll be glad to see George Santos expelled,

but he seems like a small time criminal compared to his fellow Republicans trying to get rid of democracy. They haven’t even been through an ethics review! Imagine if we could expel MTG, Gaetz, Boebert, Gosar, Biggs, Johnson, et al for treason or sedition or ANYTHING! We could have a Dem majority in Congress (I’ll stop daydreaming now)

It seems that Santos ran a campaign in 2020 as well. He picked a plus Dem district to run and never expected to actually WIN he just wanted to support his lifestyle and continue to grift off of donors!

Looks like he will be spending his congressional salary on attorney fees. Poor baby.

Are we talking about George Santos, or what's-his-name? Because that perfectly describes both. Although I will say the the "constant series of liest to his constituents" fits just about any Republican you care to name.
