Well, I guess you have to pay a lot more than one mill for Donald to lie on your behalf.

I'd love to shove some Taylor Farms lettuce down trumps disgusting yap.

Yeah, but he would never eat healthy lettuce, 'cept if it's on a Big Mac.

Not a bad idea since it appears that no one is monitoring the processing of our food! 🦠

Yay~You did good! That first photo of Claudia proved what a beauty she was! - and she still was as she aged. Good bones are good bones, show the loveliness beneath no matter what. I was SO late in reading this great post, though - since after last Evening's nonstop and horrid thunderstorms and rain, driving Luka crazy, I got so little rest so have a brutal migraine as my prize. Sigh. One of MY migraine triggers IS heavy rain (for some weird reason), but I'm not alone. Thought I was for a long time until finding migraine dot com and reading others' tales of migraine woe. I'm only one of many which does make me feel seen and heard. WAS able to watch a bit of Jon Ossoff's dissection of the frump appointees and boy - HE eviscerated them so well. Also caught a bit of an interview by Nicolle Wallace of Liz Oyer (Nicolle's 'the best people' podcast) who was summarily fired for NOT going along with the shit-fuckery by - ta-da: Todd Blanche! She described his unnecessary cruelty as being especially terrible for her family. Only someone giving her a heads-up about armed men heading to her HOME where her young son was home alone allowed her to get there before. Her crime/sin? Being unable to agree to giving Mel Gibson his gun permits back AFTER his charges on domestic violence. Yet, she still doesn't carry any animosity or belief in OUR being vindictive in return.

Here is a list of the recalls buried in the FDA website. Notice that ONLY TWO of the contaminated products can be found in grocery stores.

https://www.fda.gov/safety/recalls-market-withdrawals-safety-alerts/taylor-fresh-foods-recalls-iceberg-lettuce-central-mexico-because-possible-health-risk

Approximately 33 nationwide food service suppliers unwittingly (except maybe for the ones marked TF-Taylor Fresh) sold this product to their restaurant customers. Taco Bell was only one out of hundreds of restaurants that bought this lettuce. Oh, and by the way, the FDA sure slow-walked this investigation. It took them approximately TWO MONTHS to pinpoint the source of the outbreak. The first cyclospora incident occurred on May 13.

Jodi Richard's avatar

FYI, that piece of shit who owns Taylor Farms bought Earthbound Farms in 2019. So, don’t buy that brand either. Let’s protest the shit out of that greedy motherfucker.

Maui Wahine's avatar

If you can, buy local. Ironically it is often more expensive due to economies of scale (and probably massive subsidies to Big Ag) but since it is fresher it lasts longer.

Anastasia Pantsios's avatar

We have a couple of local,, year-round, hydroponic growers I always get my lettuce from when I'm not sourcing it from my porch which I am currently.

Cheri Collins's avatar

Earthbound? 😳 Shit!

kathiallyson's avatar

Right. I've been buying Earthbound for years. Ugh.

Nancie's avatar

Earthbound is a Taylor Farms brand?? I did not know that. Thanks!

Karen Livolsi's avatar

Due to losing a couple a feet of my colon in 2022, I rarely try fresh produce, especially lettuce. I avoid restaurant salads, sandwiches and any uncooked fresh vegetables. Still, every fresh item is washed and rinsed before being cut into at home for sure. Food safety measures should be taught in kindergarten.

Mary Lou Williams's avatar

Thanks for doing research and sharing.

FDA = Flaming Diarrhea Abounds

After Trump

Sharon Hudnall's avatar

I hate the coy phrase used by corporate media "so-in-so met with the White House." So tell us upfront EXACTLY who in the WH was met with! It's a bend the knee before the Royal Court thing. The imperial loser is so powerful we dare not say his name.

Nancy's avatar

That list isn't helpful to consumers if we don't know what CV, MARK, MKTSD, PK, SUB, SY and TF refer to. Do better, FDA. Spell things out.

Nancie's avatar

Do better, FDA. Spell things out… Absolutely, but at least FDA list indicated which brands, EXACTLY TWO, are sold retail. Those are the ONLY BRANDS we can actively avoid. Everything else is sold directly to restaurants, so we have NO IDEA if we are consuming a contaminated lot. Also, the link on the Taylor Farms website is even LESS HELPFUL, if you can believe that!

devourerofpancakes's avatar

Slow walked or worked overtime because there are only 3 people left to do it?

Robert Eckert's avatar

"the FDA sure slow-walked this investigation" because the people at the FDA who used to investigate such things were all fired.

Patricia Poohkay's avatar

Well yeah cuz dumkof DOGE and Bobby Brainworms gutted the CDC that does the investigating work. Hmmm Wonder why?

Nancie's avatar

If you have HBO, watch the latest episode of Larry David’s not quite accurate history show. The last sketch features Bobby Brainworms!

I am seeing more films and series that have a fictional US-Iran conflict. I assume they will be scripted differently from here on out.

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

I would hope Linda… I know someone who was born/still resides there. America has done so much damage in the Middle East with tariffs, sanctions and partnership with Israel.

Linda Weide's avatar

Patrick, do you want Malcolm Nance's daily podcasts. They are at 9am EST. Malcolm is former US Navy intelligence, and he usually has Wajeeh Lion (Saudi Arabian political analyst) and Jacob Kaarsbo (former Danish Intelligence in the region) on his podcast in Substack. It is a certain taste, but they cover what is going on in terms of how to look at military actions, and why attacking Iran without understanding the culture is not going to lead to a US victory. U of Chicago Prof. Robert Pape has talked about his Escalation Trap theory and he is doing analysis too.

I am hoping that Europe stays out of it, other than that the country I am in has the big hospital that all the wounded are flown to. It is a horrid mess for everyone, which is what happens with everything Trump does. The bull in the China shop.

Jan Moon's avatar

I follow Malcolm Nance and highly recommend him. He and his cohorts cover everything military, esp. Iran, and present it so that even I can understand most of it. Plus their humor is refreshing in the midst of the horror.

Cathy Rady's avatar

Maybe they could take a cue from the Iraq war, switch things around, and show Evil Don, hiding up to his neck in his golf course, alongside Ivana's burial site, and being extricated from his gold-lined 'spider hole' by malevolent forces. :-) *

today in Shit That Happened While I Was Busy Writing This Shit—

Couchfuck McGee is moving his family to an exclusive DC suburb. why? the Vice President already has an official residence.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/2026/07/19/jd-vance-is-moving-wealthy-enclave-outside-dc-cue-gossip-complaints/

Stephen Schiff's avatar

Not far from us, sad to say. One day last week we were treated to several hours of Secret Service helicopters buzzing around continuously. Apparently this is done whenever Couchfuck's (ostensible) offspring has a golf lesson. Of course if they were normal people they would do this at the nearby Führergplfplatz. But every opportunity to flaunt their disdain for the prols must be exploited. BTW I am told this costs the taxpayers $16,000 per hour.

Stephen Schiff's avatar

The "exclusive DC suburb" is Middleburg VA, also home to the scumbag Eric Prince. Now Prince will have at last a neighbor who will speak to him.

Major Kong's avatar

It's a nice town with good restaurants.

Lisa K. Obrien's avatar

I hope those nice restaurants have the decency to shun Vance.

Anastasia Pantsios's avatar

He probably doesn't dine with the hoi polloi

Major Kong's avatar

So the VP who has an official residence is moving into a private home and the officials who lived in private homes moved into flag officers' on base quarters "for security ".

Patricia Poohkay's avatar

You can’t make this stuff up🇨🇦

Jean McCarthy's avatar

He is gearing up for the presidential race in 2028. But he would screw up just as much if not more than his current boss. God help us

Anastasia Pantsios's avatar

He has no hope of getting elected. Even MAGAs se him as an awkward, doughy wallflower and weakling. And you know Trump is going to play him off against Rubio until the last minute, to the detriment of both.

Julie's avatar

Neither one of those sadistic true fucks will ever be president.

Jayme Wolworth's avatar

And I hear that the neighbors are very upset about their little community being turned upside down by the Secret Service and all of the commotion that Just DumB and his family outings will entail. Motorcade disturbances and helicopter noise are NOT welcome in Middleburg.

Linda Weide's avatar

Vance was on Joe Rogan trying to be one of the guys but bragging about how he did not actually go to the grocery store because he has people to do that for him, in a clip I saw on some Substack. Vance is a tool, his neighbors know it and we do too. He is going to suck all the air out of the community and they know that too. I saw him driving around Italy where he brought his own cooks. I can assume he is worried about being poisoned. I guess he probably has a food taster. Maybe it is his wife. Anyone can be worried about food these days given the exploding diarrhea that is spreading throughout the land.

Clint Opine's avatar

"I guess he probably has a food taster. Maybe it is his wife."

Am I the only one who laughed out loud at this?

Cheri Collins's avatar

No. 🤣😂🤣

rlritt's avatar

I'm wondering when he's gonna dump his not white, not trad wife so he run for President with a blonde 2nd wife?

Linda Weide's avatar

For a while it sounded like Erika Kirk was going to be that person, but with a 4th child on the way, and a compliant enough wife to put up with him, he may not want to dump her so quickly. He is socially awkward after all. Or Usha is his beard and he is one of Peter Thiel's pieces on the side, and it works out that way.

rlritt's avatar
1dEdited

I see your point. Leaving a pregnant wife and 3 children would be a bad look.

T L Mills's avatar

After the remark he made on Joe Rogan's show about how he thought Biden eating ice cream made him think of sex....(#1: Eeeuuww. #2: over-sharing--just another sign of JD's social ineptness. #3: I'm even more inclined to think that Usha is merely his beard and maybe the children are via invitro?

I don't know about that, but it works for Musk.

Either he’s not planning to live there himself, or he’s going to have one heck of a commute. Assuming zero other cars on the road, it’s over an hour from the WH. We live 10 miles from my husband’s workplace in SE DC, and some days it takes him over an hour to get there. Traffic is ridiculous!

ann--I thought so, too! Looked rather "fabulous" to me.

Denise Donaldson's avatar

Not just you. I thought his look was bizarre, too. Especially for such a "manly" man.

Anastasia Pantsios's avatar

Those loafers do look a little light, if you catch my drift.

Gina's avatar

and neither does the dandyish 3-piece ensemble and natty hat

Lady Emsworth's avatar

It wasn't just the attire.

It looked to me as if he was wearing a bra.

Overdosing on testosterone will do that to you - it shrinks your balls and makes your breasts grow. I think it's called "gynecomastia"

Still, they'll give him something to play with when he's alone in that cell.

Nothing screams "toxic masculinity" like having some guy rush over to take off your jewelry when you get arrested for rape.

Susan Niemann's avatar

Every breath you take

Every dumb mistake

Every grifting rake

Every algal lake

We are sufferin' too

You are such a crook

It's your lifelong look

Every single day

You harm the USA

Every day you're here

You cause more hate and fear

Your regime of loons

And dangerous goons

Are a human smear

When you're dead the whole world will cheer your fate

You're the one most good people love to hate

Life without you will feel just great

We only hope that by then won't be too late

We keep crying, when, oh, when, oh, when?!

I think the we should be making a bigger deal about the reflecting pool fiasco - it is a clear example of the lies to deflect his failures. Have a huge photo of the empty pool and challenge anyone to identify the 300-ft gash created by vandals. Exposing an obvious, provable lie (that cost taxpayers dearly) may peel off a few more of his idiot followers.

HI2thDoc's avatar

From the other day, but apropos here:

That idiotic lazy-assed fool

Drove his motorcade through the pool

That's what damaged the paint

'Cuz surely it ain't

Mark Slattery's avatar

Exactly. No gash but plenty of tire tracks. And he was warned the plan was rushed and not feasible.

HI2thDoc's avatar

And he awarded that ballooning non-bid contract to an apparently incompetent kiss-ass. Contrast that to the non-bed contract with Melania.

Zija Pulp's avatar

In Donny’s infinite wisdom he’s having THE SAME COMPANY fix the problem because, per Donny, “they did a fantastic job.”

barb's avatar

While i doubt that anything, no matter how egregious, will peel off his braindead followers i absolutely think the media should be broadcasting the reflecting pool fiasco and all of the other lies and fuck ups a whole lot louder. I'm wondering why a bigger deal hasn't been made of the fascist state department meeting this week where Nazi Nosferatu made the most chilling speech imaginable. The threats to our democracy coming from this are worthy of front page coverage everywhere.
