Iran is retaliating for the missile strikes Donny lobbed at them yesterday

and the price of oil is going fuckity-zoom again

heck of a job, Donny

Other shit that happened — Katie Miller is losing her shit over her evil husband Nosferatu being told to

“Shut up you ugly fuck.”

Democrats calling Stephen Miller an “ugly fuck” needs to happen more often.

More of that. No more of this going high nonsense.

Shoutout to Paulina Mangubat who runs the Democrats Account. Loving her energy and I hope she and her team keep it up!

LindaCHJC's avatar

It is the truth. He is an ugly fuck both inside and out. He looks like a dick and acts like one too.

Victoria Wilson's avatar

Yeah he looks so much like that vampire pic that Jeff runs on him it is downright scary.Ugh

Jeff's description for the Republican who was running against Paxton: "merely awful" -- perfect.

As the new Head of Republican Ad Campaigns, here's my first ad on national television:

"Vote Republican. Most of us are merely awful"

"Ugly fuck" is the understatement of the decade. KKKatie should be grateful for the mildness of that assessment of her domesticated sadist partner.

She’s the piggy, that’s why.

50 years ago, you could claim that the Democrats and Republicans were pretty much the same. And you wouldn’t be totally wrong, just slightly brainwashed. If you did want radical, you had to support The Green Party or possibly some Communist Party.

That would really be radical.

Nowadays, you CAN say there are vast differences between Republicans and Democrats. It’s so obvious even some Republicans are able to see it.

Anyone who doesn’t admit that is accurate, or can’t see it, is either kidding themselves or a damn fool.

It’s in such a small room, I wonder if you get a gas mask as you enter the Dear Leader Fluffer meeting.

Then today they are pushing through a $250 bill with his mugshot on it…

Is he dead yet???

Paula Dean's avatar

He's been dead for years. He's a farting corpse reanimated by drugs and high-voltage electric charges before every appearance. The reason we can't see his medical records is because of the legal penalties for 'interfering with a corpse'. His actual medical team is a group of morticians. That's not 'sleeping' when his eyes close during meetings - it's the charge running out. Unfortunately, the Dr. Frankensteins handling him have not figured out how to script the words his dead body expels. His vampiric sidekick was asked to turn tRump into a vampire, but refused on the grounds that no amount of money and power was enough to make him drink that toxic blood.

Ellis Weiner's avatar

Finally, a credible scientific explanation.

Bob's avatar

That $250 bill is another utterly corrupt waste of money. Most people don’t carry cash like that anymore. It’s plastic and phone wallets and crypto.

arne link's avatar

Kinda like the new battleships he wants. Completely outdated. Drones are the future.

Bob's avatar

And satellites.

Mary Lou Williams's avatar

None of us will be able to afford a $250 bill anyway at the extreme rate things are going.

arne link's avatar

It's amazing that he can fall asleep during a fluffing session . That takes real skill. Liddle Marco just looks at him with his dead eyes, waiting for Cuba to drop into his lap.

Amy's avatar

Pete is on Jimmy Fallon's talk show. Fallon makes reference to the fact that Trump compares Pete to Alfred E Neuman (holds up a picture of Alfred) and then asks Pete "what goes through your mind when you hear that." Pete says "Well, we talk a lot about elevating the dialogue, so the fact that I inspire him to make a literary reference, possibly for the first time..." The crowd laughs so much at that point that he doesn't bother to finish the sentence.

2Cats2Furious's avatar

Asked for his reaction to Trump referring to him as Alfred E. Newman, Pete said “We’re always talking about elevating the discourse, so the fact I inspired him to make a literary reference for possibly the first time ever…[audience erupts in laughter and applause]”.

George A. Polisner's avatar

Thank you Jeff.

Paxton is a corrupt, self-dealing POS -the epitome of everything the criminal organization and former political party the GOP has become.

While I hope the land who once elevated Ann Richards would regain some basic morality, sanity, and intellect, they've given us Abbott, Cruz, "W.", Perry, Roy, Gohmert, and a slew of corrupt incompetents.

Jeff Tiedrich's avatar

I will never understand how Texas went from being reliably Democratic to deeply Republican almost overnight, some 30-ish years ago. was it gerrymandering?

George A. Polisner's avatar

Guessing a number of factors -however, the framing of the Reagan-esque independent cowboy rugged individualism (which was complete bull$hit), the whole GOP-funded "Me versus We" was significant. The erosion of public education, and more.

Lauralite's avatar

As a scientist, I am continually shocked by the illiterati inhabiting the MAGAverse. What the hell happened to public education?? I was a public school, totally stoned, slacker, and I'm still better educated. That's sad.

Irascible Ink's avatar

Same! I also like to read and grew up in a house full of encyclopedias, National Geographics, and Reader's Digest. Guessing that had a wee bit to do with it too.

HI2thDoc's avatar

No surprise that you both are on this side.

rlritt's avatar

Its public education that has really lowered its standards in red states. Now people send their kids to religious schools where they are indoctrinated.

SeekingReason's avatar

Same here Irascible. My mom was a single mom at the time (divorced) and was so proud when she bought us a set of encyclopedias a bit at a time. But she always read to us. And she was quite smart in school too. That always helps!

Denise Donaldson's avatar

Ronnie Raygun happened to public education. The official, concerted effort to dumb down the country began with him.

HI2thDoc's avatar

Yes, the Reaganesque second stage of the Southern Strategy, which capitalized on the residual racism of southern whites after the initial backlash against the racism of the civil rights era had died down somewhat.

Bob's avatar

That framing of a cowboy/knight/warrior as savior is THE key component to every cult. Every single one.

Punkette's avatar

Corrupt white men. That’s how Gov. Ann Richards got cheated out of her second term.

rlritt's avatar

They were Democrats because they belonged to the civil war Southern Democratic Party. Over the years that changed and the Republicans worked hard to win the south by portraying themselves as the White Christian Party.

David M Marko's avatar

The Republicans were great at weaponizing religion. Southern Baptists bought into the narrative that democrats were evil satonic reincarnate.

Stephen Brady's avatar

Pretty much, because the citations I find on the Internet say there are more Dems than rethugs registered in TX.

Bob's avatar

Compare Mike Johnson to Lyndon Johnson. It’s Bo Peep vs. Gozilla. “The Treatment” was LBJ’s method of persuasion used on recalcitrant committee chairmen and senators. There’s a sequence of photos in which LBJ starts within the Transportation chairman’s space and in the 3rd or 4th frame, said chairman is leaning back against a desk because Lyndon has leaned waaay in. Magnum agency sells copies of it.

Granted, it was the old boy’s club, the old time religion. Johnson told the Dixiecrats where to shove it, but Texas stayed blue for another 25 years.

Gordon Berry's avatar

Wow! what a load of winners - they deserve a "shit-hole"

Let;s help Texans return at least to the surface of human dignity...

George A. Polisner's avatar

For all our sakes.

Punkette's avatar

Ann Richards was the best! Gawd, I loved that woman. Texas needs to dump evil Abbott and elect Gina Hinojosa as their next governor in November. She’s a pistol, just like Ann and Molly Ivins (rest in power, dear hearts).

A gem from Molly: “Good thing we've still got politics in Texas - finest form of free entertainment ever invented.” 😂

Gayna's avatar

As much as I would absolutely LOVE to see Talerico win, common sense and morality really aren’t that valued by the voters of Texas. And then there’s the other almost 50% who are consistently too lazy to get the off their asses to vote for absolutely fucking anything. Texas is a shithole. Don’t go there.

arne link's avatar

Personally, I think they are confident that the fix is in.

michellefromchicago's avatar

While James Talarico is a far, far better candidate than Beto O’Rourke was, we must not forget that Texas is the state that has sent the spectacularly odious Ted Cruz to the US Senate repeatedly, even though his Senate colleagues – – and probably a good percentage of his own voters – – hate him. Still, I will definitely contribute to Talarico’s campaign. I also plan to get me one of them Talafreako shirts! 👌🏻

Bob's avatar

He’s up against a horrible person, but “Horrible Person” always polls well in Texas.

rlritt's avatar

True. My friends say the samething. Its Texas and they always vote for the most dishonest candidate. Maybe Talarico should steal some Social Security checks from old ladies so he can seem like a real viable politician..

Jeanne Leduc's avatar

Even Beto feels good about Talerico winning!

Man. It's to the point now that they feel they can coast on the bigoted sadopopulism. Talarico's responses are great, and hopefully he can sustain. And "ahh booga booga vegans!" How ribald these fascists are. But I guess with all the deference in the political and legal systems for the unreconstructed, why not do this?

And apparently now threats against allies are just Thursday. When you are protected by Murc's Law, the world is full of possibilities!

Joyce's avatar

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the idea that calling someone a vegan is now supposed to be the epitome of a devastating political attack. I just.........I dunno. I can't take it in.

SethTriggs's avatar

We live in the stupidest timeline, where the meanest, most ignorant people win by catering to the simplistic, venal urges of millions of ignorant, bigoted voters.

HI2thDoc's avatar

Now when people are horrified at the word vegan I just think oh my god. What a rigid backward country we have.

Amy's avatar

Liz and Max the No. 1 Cat's avatar

I think you're missing something here. Yes, Ken Paxton is corrupt and vile. The problem is Republicans don't care. Blatant corruption is just not a dealbreaker for them. They would vote for anybody with an "R" next to their name. I think Talarico needs to run on more than calling Paxton corrupt. He really needs to articulate in very specific language what he would do for Texans and America and how he would do it. Ignore the accusations of being vegan or transgender because they're just irrelevant. I beg every Democratic candidate to just get across the message that they care about people who are struggling and how they will help them. It has been documented and demonstrated that people don't respond to facts and statistics; they respond to stories that get an emotional response. Republicans have gotten good at telling those stories even if the emotional response is anger and fear. We need to trigger an emotional response of hope and happiness.

Kim Steeves's avatar

I whole heartedly agree, you need to keep the politics "local" what you will do for the people, everyone in Washington, most R's and some D's are only there for themselves.

Trump beat Harris by suppressing the vote. He won with votes from only 30% of adults in the US. 40% did not vote. The DNC must motivate that 40% to care enough about the health of the nation to get off their butts and vote. The answer is for them to tell the truth. As Talarico is doing. (Does anyone here have a line into the leadership of the DNC?)

Trump appeals to the 20% of Americans who are unhappy, angry, hate filled, anti-woke (asleep) and proudly ignorant. In their daily lives they are mannerly and courteous. They can be kind in their relations with family, friends and neighbors. But they cheer when Miller brags about harming innocent women and children because they are brown skinned and "not from here". They get a dopamine boost imagining the cruelty and torture. They shrug when the crooks in public offices steal from them. These are humans who will not be swayed by rational arguments. The MAGAs are too far gone. Loud and wrong.

That leaves 80% of the population who are not MAGAs. Trump and his oligarch pals have an uphill battle. The Dems only need 10% of the apathetic 40% to vote. Will they get it done? Or will they continue to lay low and let the crooks steal and harm people and American democracy?

Denise Donaldson's avatar

That 40% non-voting figure is highly suspect, particularly given the shenanigans in the last election. As Greg Palast said, if every eligible voter had been allowed to vote, and every legal ballot had been counted, Harris would have won.

Gordon Berry's avatar

How about "empathy for you and all your neighbors.."

Maybe need to spell out a definition of "empathy"!

rlritt's avatar

Like Obama's hope and change message.

Rachel C's avatar

The Rs believe empathy is a weakness. 👹

Fred's avatar

The big problem for Talarico is that all these Republicans in Texas watch Fox News where Paxton’s message will be amplified and they’ll never hear a thing that Talarico says. That’s what happens when you’re narrow minded and in a cult. The other side’s message never gets thru on a propaganda network

SeekingReason's avatar

Fred, 👍🏼 Allowing the total buy out of all forms of media makes our situation so much worse. But TX is pretty purple. I think this can happen. Some hackers need to make the lights go out on several of these Fascist right wing media stations. 😁 Come on..

Neal Stiffelman's avatar

Richard's avatar

Now I really got it - transgender bad, child sex trafficking, child rape/pedophilia, abuse and rape of women etc just fine/good. I may be slow but I always get there. This is what the MAGA base stands for. This is who and what they voted for. I wish I had something more productive to say about it, but at least now it’s distilled and crystallized in my mind that this is what we’re up against.

PS - I was a little leery about Talarico’s emphasis on Christianity but I’m coming to trust that he’s for keeping it out of government - I like that he gets that many atheists are more caring than many so-called Christians.

HI2thDoc's avatar

Hatred and fear stoked by MAGA's shameless, baseless alarmist pandering, augmented by inattention, ignorance, Fox indoctrination, latent biases, cognitive dissonance, and religious zealotry is a powerful weapon. It can make the target suckers think that insurrection is tourism, sex trafficking is okay, sexual assault is hunky dory, insider trading and market manipulation are no biggie, lying is telling it like it is, corruption is de rigueur, and oppression of minorities is the standard, while people living authentically are the largest threat to them and their mythical way of life. I cannot think of another example where so many in a place of assumed enlightenment have been so bamboozled. They give away their freedoms, health, and welfare willingly, gleefully, for the thrill of despising others. Sick.

As I understand him, the negatives (hate, fear, guilt) of MAGA’s version of Christianity are not part of Jim T’s version, which focuses on what Christ actually taught.

Denise Donaldson's avatar

Agree, Richard. I was leery of his devout Christianity, too, but he does seem to believe in keeping it out of politics.

And yes, it's so refreshing that he doesn't think morality can only come from religion.

Paxton you droopy-eyed creep

We see the company you keep

With your open trump blowing

And Biblical knowing

RICHMOND DOCTOR's avatar

KEEP GOING TRUMP

You may do something that has never been done before; you may destroy the Republican Party. I can only imagine what our country would be like without any Republican states, and you may do just that.

Keep going, Trump. Your madness and insanity are becoming more obvious and more blatant, and it will be impossible to ignore. Your MAGA supporters and Republicans in Congress may follow you over the cliff, or they will have to retreat back under the stone where they came from.

Your uncontrollable, constant lying—looking into the camera and telling us that January 6th never happened—will no longer work. I hope you live long enough to see the Republican Party crumble and your MAGA supporters destroyed, and that you do not die before then, because they may make you a saint. At 80, you look weak, nodding and again lying about your health.

I know you are providing your family with corrupt funds, but that will all change after the fall of Rome. Your bizarre personality and your wishes for monuments honoring you will seem ridiculous and wild, even to your loyal supporters.

Remember the fate of Benito Mussolini in Italy, where he and four of his loyal supporters were hung upside down at a gas station; he, like you, was a fascist dictator; he, like you, destroyed the existing government and had his private army kill all his opponents; he was as corrupt as you, and he, like you, was fascinated by other thugs around the world, especially Hitler.

Your time is coming, so keep demonstrating your madness so we can finally have a country without Southern Republicans. I can only dream of our country as fully democratic, so keep it up, Trump.
