Each day I try to figure out whether I have to remove my almost 91-year old mother with dementia, who will not know where she is, from her lovely senior community home and her established routines and support, and put her on a plane to somewhere sane.

What will the 500 billion sucked out of medicare mean to people who are on it? Donny meets with Ramaphosa and brings in White South Africans as political refugees to add to his White Supremacist base, because he wants to distract from his Big Bad Budget Bill.

NBC’s Peter Alexander might have procured fuel for his own anger. He will be ostracized. The core of our national crisis lies in the fact that millions of Americans, especially diehard Trump supporters are trapped in an alternate reality shaped by propaganda. They’re not seeing the full truth: Trump lying to world leaders, humiliating himself and the country, or acting in ways that are incompetent and idiotic. Instead, they consume carefully edited clips that paint him as a savior. This media bubble shields them from the real consequences of his actions, leaving them unaware of how their rights, freedoms, and futures are being dismantled. The danger isn’t just political, it’s informational. Without access to real news, they can’t see how deeply they’re being misled and harmed. It seems that these MAGAt’s won’t recognize what is happening until they personally feel the pain and even then will be trained to blame the wrong people.

Expand full comment
Jayme Wolworth's avatar

The sad part is that when it finally gets through to the MAGA morons it will be too late. The destruction of America as we know it will be complete by then, and they will still blame "the woke left demoncrats". We are screwed.

He sued ABC. They paid. He sued or is suing CBS and 30 to 50 million is worth getting him off their back. NBC should be waiting to be served after what he said to the NBC reporter. He has taken aim at The View to throttle back the trump talk. Jimmie Kimmel will be next, then Stephan Colbert and Jon Stewart, the Daily Show comedians etc, etc ad nauseam. If they appease him - shame on them. And apparently there is not person around him that thinks it would look bad to embarrass the president of another country because why? Their 15 minutes of fame, the money, fear? Jeff is right. The only way to explain the cruelty is “fuck you - that’s why.”

But no, they gobbled that loathsome toad's behavior right up. We have a sick, sick messed up country on our hands. Millions of people are so under educated and tickled by the latest sound byte, they wouldn't understand the brains it really takes to run this country. And apparently the staff of the WH know he is peddling bullshit because an sane person would have confirmed everything before presenting that shit as fact but I guess they just give it to him because he wants some bullshit to “prove his point.” But what if s the saddest is that the stupid intellectually moronic Trumpers believe every single word out of his dementia addled brain to mouth. I can’t wait until he starts garbling words together that don’t even make a sentence because he will with the progression of dementia and those mindless idiots will think he’s speaking in code to them.
