“Marzipan McDildo”. 👏👏👏

The felon is stark raving mad. And yet the media just ignores it. We are getting screwed harder by the day. 🤦‍♀️

Kay-El's avatar

Holy Moses Johnson never met a catastrophe he could do anything about except pray…..I mean chortle “the plan is working”.

Mingo's avatar

Prayer won't fund the federal government especially since Elmo took a chainsaw to the agencies protecting the health, safety and security of the American people. As Jeff says so eloquently, they can all fuck right off!

🌷IntheHalloftheMtnKing's avatar

Prayers aren't going to bring those girls back.

They think they can talk their way out of every tragedy. This time it isn't true.

Declan's avatar

Just for a moment imagine if....old man Biden was Prez and he golfed on day after this tragedy. The piercing screams from the right wing would shake the earth. But we have the sound of.....silence. Are the Dems AFRAID to scream????

T L Mills's avatar

not at all...but if the media ignores them would the screams be heard? (a variation on the "if a tree falls in the forest..." saying)

shee-rah's avatar

And if he wasn’t golfing, he wouldn’t be doing shit anyway for the rescue effort.

rlritt's avatar

The really sad part is those parents are going to believe that the only help that could be done is for our leaders to pray. If they Trump supporters they will never blame his incompetence.

🌷IntheHalloftheMtnKing's avatar

Idk about that… The details coming out are too horrific.

rlritt's avatar

Such a tragedy that could have been avoided.

Pray. Right now its the biggest waste of time. There is a special place in hell for all of them.

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

As an atheist, I’m sickened by the odious cretins who fall on their knees, praying for fairies in the sky for assistance!

Dave Drell's avatar

It’s the hypocrisy - Jesus would toss them all into RiverStyx.

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

Nicely played Dave, Styx would take care of much of the worlds issues in short order, just ask Zeus!!

Hannah's avatar

They don't sicken me. Anyone who tells someone else to pray deserves to be punched. By me.

I don't have a sky daddy.

Dtss's avatar

I don’t believe in the basement troll, either.

Dtss's avatar

Ditto. It’s like watching my kids look for fairies and leprechauns in my backyard.

Frankly, I would believe in fairies, leprechauns and unicorns before I would believe in a god, let alone any god.

They could exist. It could happen.

Rriiiiiiggghhtt😅

Declan's avatar

Yep.....God gave us disaster coordinators. D & DOGE sent them to hell. And these folks can only.....pray???

The plan being "kill all our current and future voters." None of these dead people will ever cast a vote for t or republicans.

Kay-El's avatar

Right?! No matter what they’ll be hit the worst. My evil twin is ok with that. “Shhhh” “No, you shhhh”.

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

According to Greg Palast 3.5 Billion votes were purged from the last election… at this rate controls of any election won’t require eugenics., even though it’s part of the Project 2025 plan LTBW!!

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

How’d the B sneak out… Million geezus this tiny keyboard, and these big fingers!

Dtss's avatar

I got you.😉 😉😉😆

3.5 billion. That's more people than...... never mind.

Figured that. Thought I'd give you a chance to hide in the basement for a minute.

Except, Patrick, everything I read this morning has convinced me that this is the final solution, killing all our current and future voters.

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

Eugenics is definitely Project 2025esque LTBW!!

Declan's avatar

"All we know what to do is pray".....that sounds like Hakeem Jeffries after D wins election and unleashes his authoritarianism.. Hakeem and Hebrew Chuck are NOT on Dem 'team' anymore. Drumpf has compromised (threatened) them. No??

Kay-El's avatar

I don’t think they’re compromised, just trying to play by the rules in a game that has no rules. Like Calvinball (if you know your comic strips)

Dtss's avatar

Ditto. It’s past time for the gloves to come off and go all gladiator on them. We’re not going to take our country back by pretending abnormal behaviour is normal and that Democrats are maintaining the status quo because we are above the base behaviour, illegality and unconstitutional activities of the orange foolius’ administration.

Bare knuckle, MMA, John Woo double fisted pistol beat down. I want every one of those fucks to know that if they reach for me, they are going to come away with missing fingers and a bloody stump.

By all means, take the high road, but don’t tell me that umbrella is going to keep the yellow water they insist is rain from splashing up in my face.

An intervention is in order.

Calvinball is real !!!

It might look like a comic, but I played it with my kids.

And not enjoying it. Between the media, Emperor Demented Donnie and Rev. Johnson, they are as useless as marzipan dildos and tits on a boar. Like Neil degrade Tyson said, "if prayers worked, we wouldn't have a need for science". If folks want to pray, that's their business but at this point in time, we need a hell of a lot more than prayers to help end this shitstorm of madness and incompetence.

Dr J's Sanity Space's avatar

No, Bill Kristol, with whom I don’t agree a lot, writes about how bad this nightmare scenario can get.. don’t read it if you expect to touchy feely piece

The corporate media not only ignores and normalizes Trump's mental sludge, they pay the RICO Racketeer millions in advance compliance bucks to back off his threatened lawsuits and FCC threats to bust their kneecaps.

Kay G's avatar

Compliance from the wealthy owners of corporate media. These ultra wealthy owners just made an investment in ownership of media - they have NO loyalty to the belief of bringing actual truthful news to the people. That concept went away with Fox and Rupert Murdock.

No insistence by the government or any other entity for the media to present the facts - the ultra wealthy owners will ALWAYS bend to the President’s will. It’s how they most easily preserve their assets.

From a question about when the tariffs are going to take effect:

Mr. President, do the tariff rates change at all on July 9 or do they change on August 1?”

“They're going to be tariffs. The tariffs are going to be the tariffs. I think we'll have most countries done by July 9. Either a letter or a deal,” he said.

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick then stepped in: “But they go into effect August 1. Tariffs go into effect August 1.” Lutnick added: “But the president is setting the rates and the deals right now.”

His brain is porridge, and he has to be handled at press conferences by his enablers... but Biden is old.

It’s genius. Why pay for expensive weather scientists (meteor what??) to try and save people, when it’s so much cheaper to just pray for them after they die in a flood? And think of the massive savings for the billionaires. They need that money much more than some loser Girl Scouts need an early flood warning! Thanks Mike. Hope you get treatable cancer and the only doctor available is some MAGA praying at it. Maybe he will send you to a North Korean beach resort to recover. I hope that in four years all these bastards end up in Alligator Alcatraz.

Susie in OH's avatar

Yeah, anyone else notice the disappearance of the word FEMA in news reporting? Years and years of weather tragedies and FEMA was mentioned early on in reporting as already on scene and setting up to give aid to those stricken by weather events and disasters. No more due to the gluttonous greed of Trump to steal from those who need the most to make those who are already obscenely rich even richer. But let‘s not ruffle the feathers of the beast who can threaten careers of the media and journalists who the Constitution protects so they can speak truth to power, right?

Wendy The Druid 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🌈's avatar

Because nothing is ever his fault, Jeff. Wont ever be. And his followers....they fucking believe all of it. Know why? Glad you asked, here we go.

The MAGA mentality isn't just some quirky political preference you can politely disagree with at Thanksgiving dinner—it's a full-blown psychological clusterfuck that's rotting the brains of millions of Americans from the inside out.

https://thistleandmoss.com/p/ok-republican-cock-weasels-your-maga

And yes, I used the word Cock-weasels. :)

As always Jeff, Liked, Restacked, Quoted, and Crossed to our readers. Keep up the hard work. :)

Phil Burns's avatar

In other words they're a bunch of mindless idiots.

Wendy The Druid 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🌈's avatar

I mean yes....but I was actually trying to diagnose the motherfuckers....albeit its actually really hard. But yes Phil, you are SPOT on.

Phil Burns's avatar

It's difficult to analyze them. The trainer at gym I used to go to was MAGA but was against some of Taco Don's rhetoric. We had discussions, intelligent discussions, and he agreed with facts I showed about different ideas. Also his parents, Mexican parents, are Trumpers so in his case 'respect' for his parents.

arne link's avatar

I simply can't understand Hispanics voting for Trump. How can they not know that he hates them? I understand that they want a strong daddy/dictator. Do some Hispanics identify as white? I've heard that Texas Hispanics believe that they are white. Who knows?

George in Atlanta's avatar

Welp, time for a little 'splainin', I suppose. These are some facts I've picked up along the way, but bear in mind I'm Liberal White-splaining it all to you, results may vary. Anyone with superior intel, please jump in and correct me.

1. A lot of people do not like to be referred to as 'Hispanic'. It implies that they are descended from Spaniards who got all, y'know, rapey with native women in the Southern Americas.

2. Some other people might LIKE the word 'Hispanic', for the same reason, though avoiding thinking about all the raping part. Reason being, 'White Is Right' has penetrated most minds in the world to one degree or the other. The Spanish, being European, are often considered "White". That matters because humans are racist as shit.

3. On balance, 'Latino/Latina' (do NOT use 'Latinx', which is bad for other reasons) *may* be a reasonable default to use for most people, though they may tell you if they prefer otherwise.

4. That daddy/dictator trope is a bit... insulting. You might want to ease up on that.

So here's my conclusion, such as it is: yes, some people, including some Latinos, think of themselves as White. Whether or not they call themselves 'Hispanic' is individual preference, I suppose.

I don't know much about 'Texas Hispanics'. I met a lot of people in my years there whose families partially hailed from South of the Border. For reasons unknown, I saw a real trend there of German boys marrying Mexican girls and raising up a living room full of rugrats. Said rugrats call themselves TexMex, if anything. It's messy. Like humans all are.

arne link's avatar

Mexican or "Hispanic" women are very beautiful. I did not realize that "Hispanic" was a negative designation. I, personally, don't like Latina. I live in a very, very "Hispanic" community. I generally refer to my neighbors as people or neighbors.

Steve Kelly's avatar

Your point that strikes like a tuning fork: "...humans are racist as shit."

Wendy The Druid 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🌈's avatar

I tend to fall in line, George (as a fellow Atlantan btw), with your expression.

Phil Burns's avatar

Same with Blacks for Trump.

George in Atlanta's avatar

Yeah, about that. It's very White of me to define what is in the interests of someone else. Sometimes interests are just perceived at the time and can change. Maybe it is presumptuous and self-defeating for me to confidently say that 'No True Scotsman' would vote for trump. Maybe I just don't fully understand everything going on it the Scotsman's mind.

Mingo's avatar

Recalling lessons from my college Anthropology class. There are three races of humans, Caucasoid, Negroid and Asian. Hispanics are considered part of the Caucasoid race. So I guess that counts as white. But don't tell Taco Don.

George A. Polisner's avatar

Thank you Jeff.

It's a reminder that tragedy (preventable or otherwise) doesn't care about your political affiliation. It doesn't care whether you are "in it" for the liberal tears.

And why should the criminal elect accept any responsibility for anything? He has subverted the entire justice system so he will not be held responsible for any "official" act.

The extreme climate catastrophe in Texas is just the beginning. Public health is at risk. Public infrastructure such as air travel is at risk. Food safety and the spread of E-coli and Salmonella will soon be displacing stories about Texas floods, extreme hurricanes, and massive wildfires.

The DOJ has been subverted to pursue political opponents and people of color. Government watchdogs formerly charged with investigating corruption are marginalized. Millions of families will lose access to healthcare -not immediately, because voters will forget the "Big Beautiful Tax Fraud" that is piling debt on top of debt.

The Judicial System now has Thomas, Alito, Roberts, Kavanaugh, and Aileen Cannon as case studies in corruption, incompetence, and betrayal of fundamental responsibility to justice.

The United States as a global partner in trade, defense, and climate are no longer. We are now as much of a pariah as Putin's Russia, Netanyahu's Israel, and Hamas' Gaza.

No, the plane crashes, the Texas floods, wildfires, concentration camps, State-sponsored kidnappings and trafficking, the deployment of lethal military forces to U.S. cities are simply the very beginning of what is to come. The on/off tariffs and corresponding insider trades.

But it's not all bad news. Putin will have Ukraine. China will own science and innovation. Kushner/Trump/Netanyahu will have beachfront Gaza resorts. And Musk, Bezos, and Thiel have their tax cuts.

J.R.'s avatar

It will only be really bad for the majority of us.
