Well done, DK.

Jeff, thought you’d like to know that someone went and committed a real journalism.

Of course Karoline (the K makes me special, like K-Mart) shot that sanity down like a Patriot missile, but hey, Nancy Cordes from CBS tried. 🤷‍♂️

I got about halfway through and then all I could think about was watching a fly try to free itself from fly paper. All that struggling and still stuck in the mire. Honey, that tirade couldn't fool a Labrador Retriever, and they have the world's most trusting hearts.

Paula Dean's avatar

I don't have an Instagram account so I can't see it, can someone give me the gist of it?

Elizabeth Schulz's avatar

I DO have an instagram account - on my cell. But can't somehow transmit stuff from here (my desktop) TO there, so far prefer watching YouTube videos or direct blue links. Then again, my current computer is literally bumbling along on its last wobbly legs. Last night I couldn't wish my nephew a happy birthday but today all of the messages came through - some from February. I SO DESPISE leavitt (refuse to capitalize this regime's names)...they're scum and she's simply a younger version of kelly-ann conway, the 'alternative facts' liar. By the way, her lifelong-republican/conservative husband George (who really is a quite brilliant attorney), is running now for DEMOCRAT Jerry Nadler's Congressional seat in Brooklyn. Jerry's retiring - and Jack Schlossberg (JFK's grandson, Caroline's son) is also running for the same position. I like Jack, but what are his qualifications other than he is SO dead set against his cousin 'bobby brainworms' and frump? George has SO much experience in dealing with frump;s shitfuckery (given that his ex-wife actually worked for the mook) and his mission seems to be to do anything - even switch to OUR SIDE to get him out of our White House. I like George - a lot. Any thoughts here from anyone who truly knows either of these two guys?

Tim Trew's avatar

Nancy Cordes from CBS asked Leavitt where Trump got the idea that Iran was going to attack us in three days, when no one else was saying that, and why it changed from three days to a week and back, and Leavitt said it was a “feeling” that Trump had “based on fact.”

Cordes asked her what the hell that meant, and Leavitt got pissy.

C-rations are 'good enough for them' according to that whiny little pissed-off narcissistic druggy/drunk. He's BIG MAD that 'unflattering photos' were taken of him at a presser so they 'disinvited' those who took them to the next two press briefings. LOL Tell me something: HOW does he even manage to GET 'unflattering photos' while having his own makeup room AND all that money to spend making him look 'pretty for the cameras'? Shee-it. Jones Road makeup is amazing -and what I use now. Takes a 'nano-second' to apply (as advertised) and you're off to the races - or shopping, or the library, or dinner. Perhaps IF piss-drunk pete stopped using an entire fucking CAN of hairspray every day he just 'might' look more human instead of resembling a furiously mad goblin?

If it was only MAGA or extremists that would perish....plus the whole environmental damage is a total set back for the world's carbon footprint, forget local ecosystems as they tear the fabric of heaven apart. It was telling, the projectile vomit of Lindsey Graham saying what's wrong with spending billions to get rid of a fanatical Nazi religious government? The Man in the mirror is just saying no sir, Lindsey, its you babyface up to hellfire and damnation you have sown. As much as these arrogant, vicious fiends for their self gratification think they are in control to order the sacrifice of our children to the blasphemous God of War, they will sorely meet their dismal fate and lose their heads to justice one day. Judgement is coming to them though they think they are protected. What about that bunker under the missing East Wing? These fools will be lushing in MagaLago when the bombs drop. My wishful thinking is that we could live together in the peace of understanding and provide more practical ways of solving societal problems than killing or incarcerating one another for profit.

Anastasia Pantsios's avatar

Lindsey appears to have completely lost his mind. Whatever Trump has on him must be insane.

Al S's avatar

Gawd I'd like to slap the shit out of that bitch. Anyone else? Line forms behind me.

Paula Dean's avatar

It's a good dream.

Suel J's avatar

Those bombs are pretty hard to hide from. Bury yourselves in your fortress for a very long time .....emerge to ruined earth that is unable to sustain your life. Your rockets you counted on to blast you free and on your way to Mars? Let us count the likely ways that little plan will fall apart immediately. Start adding up your resources and guess what? You are quite short. Nuclear winter has a grip. There is no evidence of life except you and your chosen few. Silence is the response. It's a nice fantasy on paper, one I'm sure the very wealthy are investing in. After the immediate issues you face on first emerging come the longer term problems. Suddenly science looks very good. Disease prevention and treatment are priorities. How about children?

I'll stop here, there's not a lot of good to look forward to in this view. This isn't very accurate and is probably optimistic.

Suel J's avatar

And on top of it all these spineless rocket scientists don't even get to wear decent shoes. It's another bullying tactic by Trump. Daring them to say ANYTHING while actively causing physical discomfort. Not a good look.

Patrick Daniels aka Cromulent1's avatar

Hahaha, the whole cheap shoe thing is symbolic of this regime. Spineless yes men domineered over by the mad dumbass in charge, who thinks shiny (and of course cheap) shoes are the most important thing. Then the sycophants are too afraid to not wear them or to even go get their own size. Frivolity, cowardice, and stupidity all on display.

devourerofpancakes's avatar

Why is the GOP so afraid of this guy? Mamdani (sp?) stood up to Trump and he fell head over heels in love.

HI2thDoc's avatar

That's one of Sshitler's major malfunctions. He is either a bully or a punk ass bitch to those who are more powerful, charismatic, and accomplished than him.

HI2thDoc's avatar

rlritt's avatar

I truly believe he is just covering for the real decision makers

makers, Miller, Bondi, Voight and Kushner, et al. From what I've read, Trump's mental heath has diminished significantly.

Joyce's avatar

The shoes bit may have brought us to the Captain Queeg and strawberries moment.

Joyce's avatar

Because Mamdani is not in the Trump-Epstein Files.

Hey, Marco: how many times does your name show up in the Trump-Epstein Files? I bet you can spend at least $100K of taxpayer money on getting those new clown shoes re-dyed Heinz red.

Anastasia Pantsios's avatar

Marco's too small time to be in the Epstein files.

Joyce's avatar

Nobody's too small time. And Marco sure as hell ain't: he's been in politics, in increasingly more powerful positions, without any actual talent, for nearly 30 years.

devourerofpancakes's avatar

He was in FL politics so I doubt he was unaware of this super rich guy making connections and doling out money.

Joyce's avatar

Plus, Marco was Holy Brother Mike Johnson before Holy Brother Mike Johnson was.....The master of doing nothing and knowing nothing, all the while pulling in the cash; no actual stance on anything, except when he could pander to the Christian Nationalists or the Cuban exiles (for whom, once upon a time, he used to feign outrage at Russia).

The US and Israel are rogue nations run by corrupt psycho-sociopaths. The world needs to stop letting itself be held hostage by these terrorists and fight back against them. Trump and Netanyahu are guilty of crimes against humanity and should be arrested. The US and Israel should be sanctioned. Removed from NATO. Arrest warrants for Trump prepared by the ICC for suspected crimes against humanity - Netanyahu already has them.

These two countries are evil, tyranical, lawless and represent a threat to world order, decency, and peace.

Oh yes…blame poor people for not understanding money and using snap…but let’s cut our education departments everywhere…that will surely fucking help!

Permian Extinction's avatar

Free and comprehensive public education is the single most important thing we lack.

Anastasia Pantsios's avatar

Absolutely. And Ohio is doing its best to undermine that with universal, no-income-limit education welfare checks (vouchers) for rich kids to go to elite private schools while reneging on a public school funding bill they passed just four years ago because "we don't have the money." And now they're trying to bully a huge consortium of public school distracts suing, trying to pass a bill that would strip any district of its funding if it joined such a lawsuit. Our way or the highway! Gerrymandering and term limits in action! And Jon Husted is a poster boy for Ohio stupidity. I'm sure his wife does all the grocery shopping and he couldn't find his way around a grocery if his life depended on it. He's been too busy engineering bribes.

Mary Lou Williams's avatar

Both Geography and Economics have been removed from the mandated curriculum. Sandra Day O'Connor was able to get one day in September declared Constitutional Day nationally but like everything else nobody enforces even this reasonable aspect of History courses. Kids/adults don't know the Atlantic from the Pacific Oceans or where is the Middle East and can't make change without the help of a computer. Stranger Than Friction's avatar

Ohio, you know what to do: GET THAT GREEDY IDIOT OUT OF OFFICE AS SOON AS YOU LEGALLY CAN. Then investigate him for bribes and other BS. Deep down, I think Ohio voters know that there are no good repugnicans now. NONE.

Anastasia Pantsios's avatar

We are working on it. He's up for retention this November (He was appointed to fill JD Fancypant's seat). You can help by making a donation here to return Sherrod Brown to the Senate in his place: https://www.sherrodbrown.com

Anastasia Pantsios's avatar

By the way, the race is basically tied with polls showing Sherrod with a tiny lead. We can do this.

Stranger Than Friction's avatar

I like Sherrod Brown and I’ve donated to him in the past. Thanks for the reminder! Anything to help!!

Anastasia Pantsios's avatar

Much appreciated. In addition to his other failings, Useless as I call him is completely unresponsive to constituents.

Brooke Fischbach's avatar

100% agree Anastasia! Cannot wait to vote this idiot out of office - thanks DeSwine for nominating this horrible man to the senate. The republicans are all corrupt in Ohio.

Wendymae's avatar

I'm sure that story is 100% something that never happened.

Suel J's avatar

Always remember: we, the people, are the architects of it all. Trump's goons didn't forcefully seize power--we elected him to lead us. We support and encourage obscene wealth with every dollar we send to Amazon. We weren't threatened--we did it all enthusiastically. We could have said "no" when it would have made a difference.

Susan Niemann's avatar

I hope it's not too late tho turn things around. The people who voted for this are to blame.

Mary Lou Williams's avatar

I object to the word "WE" as many of us have spent our hard earned money and hours and hours sounding this impending doom. I am not responsible for any of this mayhem.

Linda McCaughey's avatar

I did not vote for any of them, either. I make signs. I go to rallies. I am still complicit in this because I have failed to stop it before it got this serious. If you live in this country and are a U.S. citizen, you are, too. We have not done enough--there are no innocent bystanders. Who and what companies have you supported with your $$$ that are behind the grift and corruption and wars?

Unless they are about to retire. Then they'll speak the truth.

Mr Mild - BlueVotingBastard💙's avatar

Sadly, there are plenty on the Democratic side of the aisle to blame: Chuck Schumer, Hakeem Jeffries, DINO John Fetterman, to name a few.

Mary Lou Williams's avatar

We need a dynamic leader which neither Schumer or Jeffries are.

Anastasia Pantsios's avatar

Jeffries has done an incredible job of holding Mikey Johnson's feet to the fire and is a lot of the reason why Mikey is too scared to even have the House in session. We need to stop eating our own.

Anastasia Pantsios's avatar

Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries are NOT to blame. In fact, I look forward to spoon-feeding a lot of people their words when Jeffries takes over as speaker in January and does an amazing job, which he will. I'm more mixed of Schumer, but there is nothing to blame Jeffries on. Our worst failing is we eat our own, based largely on image.

Douglas Paul Truhlar's avatar

Joyce's avatar

At least the MAGAts are going to have a hard time getting around in their new fashion statement: oversized clown shoes. I hope ICE thugs get a shipment they're required to wear.

Andrew Springer's avatar

Husted technically was never elected to his senate seat; he was appointed to finish out JD Vance’s term. I know that means that Ohio did in fact elect JD Vance, which is somewhat worse, but still. Anyways, that clip should be a Sherrod Brown campaign ad, zero editing needed.

Mr Mild - BlueVotingBastard💙's avatar

All these jackholes who talk about how The Poors (tm) don’t know anything about money drive me nuts. I doubt they have any idea how their own household budget works, they get paid by the government they claim to hate, have top-notch healthcare, get tons in b̶r̶i̶b̶e̶s̶ ̶ campaign contributions.

How many of them have tried living on SNAP benefits? They’ve probably never set foot in a grocery store in their miserable lives.

Anastasia Pantsios's avatar

This is like all those people who claim they were behind a woman in the grocery carrying a Coach purse and buying filet mignon with food stamps, before going out and getting in her Escalade. It's funny how many people were in line behind this woman. I've been behind a lot of people using Ohio Directions cards — I live in a very economically mixed area — but I never saw this one.

Mr Mild - BlueVotingBastard💙's avatar

Reagan used similar slurs about "Welfare Queens" back in the 80s.

Anastasia Pantsios's avatar

Exactly. It's the Reagan template and honestly, I think the people saying this were just echoing Reagan and it never happened to them.

Lin Talbot-Koehl's avatar

There are SHITLOADS of people scamming like that, all over Ohio.

I once saw this dude sitting at a major intersection here, all scruffy & filthy, w/ his sign saying "Disabled, homeless, out of work. Please help." When he finished his "shift", his wife pulled into the parking lot - IN THEIR BEEMER - & SHE took over, while he drove home. Saw it w/ my own eyes.

Anastasia Pantsios's avatar

Sure, sure, whatever. I mean, after those hundreds of welfare queens driving Cadillacs what do you expect? Or was it thousands?

Kathy's avatar

Sherrod is using it in social media posts.

Lin Talbot-Koehl's avatar

Oddly enough, hardly ANY of us here in Ohio even KNEW who jd BOWMAN was, until #Bumblefuck picked him as his VP.

Lin Talbot-Koehl's avatar

Back in my radio news days, we used to call people like him, "a Mutt in an Airedale Suit".

Little yappy mutts hide behind the Big Mean Dog, acting like they're tough & that they actually MATTER. But, the second the Big Mean Dog goes away, he either tucks his tail under his ass & runs away, OR nobody takes him seriously, & he gets ignored, & even SHUNNED.

Some people say they're afraid of what would happen if BOWMAN became prez. Pssssh....I think he'll end up under the bus, along w/ #Bumblefuck. I mean, does ANYONE take this flaming shitheel seriously?

Scott Gilbert's avatar

Lindsey Graham: “...what’s it worth to America to take down a religious Nazi regime?”

Talk about having absolutely no idea what you're saying, Miss Lindsey... You mean like Rapture Happy Christians running the military and government and being fascists...

Cathy Wray's avatar

A religious Nazi regime, is that not what we have now?

Scott Gilbert's avatar

BINGO: Rapture Happy Christians running the military and government and being fascists...

djw's avatar

Can we explain to them that if they go over there and die in the war, they'll get to heaven faster and not have to wait for the rapture?

Scott Gilbert's avatar

Yes, that would be nice, but these people know the HAVE to be raptured or they're going STRAIGHT to Hell.

Irascible Ink's avatar

I've tried explaining that to some MAGA men, but they can't begin to comprehend something that doesn't affect them or any of the womenfolk they personally know.

YET.

Scott Gilbert's avatar

NOTHING matters to Republicans until it happens to them.

Wendymae's avatar

My thought exactly.

Sharon Hudnall's avatar

Theocratic, like Israel.

djw's avatar

I was thinking the fastest way to do it would be impeachment--for treason.

Scott Gilbert's avatar

You need 2/3 of the House to impeach him and then the Senate has its say so. Watching paint dry goes faster. The FASTEST way would be to round them up and drop them in an oilfield in Iran.

djw's avatar

I'd be okay with that. I'd prefer Alligator Alcatraz, but I'll take what I can get.

Scott Gilbert's avatar

Alligator Auschwitz. It's much more accurate because Alcatraz had to meet standards to avoid being called cruel and unusual punishment. The Trump regime has no such standards, as I'm sure you already know.

djw's avatar

Yeah, but the Alcatraz name has already been stuck on it. As long as the conditions are terrible, suits me. Alligators would just be a bonus.

Scott Gilbert's avatar

The Alcatraz name was stuck on it by THEM. THEY EVEN HAVE ALLIGATOR ALCATRAZ ROAD SIGNS on Interstate 75. I refuse to use their words for what they're calling it.

It's Alligator Auschwitz or "that concentration camp in the Everglades". Alcatraz was never a concentration camp. It was a place where people were sent AFTER DUE PROCESS and deemed to be the worst of the worst convicts.

Is the concentration camp in the Everglades holding those convicted and deemed by the legal system to be the worst of the worst?

The people in Auschwitz were never given due process and NEITHER ARE THOSE who are thrown in Alligator AUSCHWITZ.

And the one in Texas? I'm calling that Desert Dachau.

Joyce's avatar

Or maybe this was Miss Lindsey's try at "blink twice if you need to be rescued" --because, indeed: what's it worth to normal Americans to take down this religious Nazi regime....the one that's much, much closer than Iran. In fact, it IS in the room with us right now.
