I keep staring at the puppy-killer’s face. Her original face was so different, and yet it isn’t just odd work and slipping fillers that I see. There’s a coldness around the mouth, those dead eyes. She’s possessed by some dark force and she’s getting a kick from it. And it shows.

Except, it doesn't sound like shooting the dog was a tough decision for her. A tough decision would involve weighing the pros and cons, thinking it over, exploring all other options. She did none of that. It was an impulsive decision made in anger because the dog cost her money. And, Kristi is not just sending people to El Salvador, but also to South Sudan, just as deadly. These people are so sick, we cannot normalize them.

At the same time that Noem is sending people to El Salvador and South Sudan, she is not giving people in the US needed aid from FEMA. I heard Josh Hawley, of air fist infamy, is begging her to give his state needed disaster Aid. Forget that. He should have read Project 2025 himself, the playbook that says that FEMA is not going to be giving anyone any money anymore. Actually, they may cough up up to 25% of the costs, if the community pays the rest themselves.

Also, no more FEMA insurance for floods or fires. So, things are looking pretty bleak going into hurricane season for anyone who has built in the ever expanding flood plain, or just has flooding from heavy rains. Fires, no help there either.

There are going to be big beautiful disasters and no help, and people who are legally in the US may find themselves in death camps in El Salvador or South Sudan, working as slaves until they die.

Mombeka, that is why I wrote this piece in November. It has taken a different kind of bravery to move to Germany in retirement. That is a bravery that all of the immigrants to the US have used too. I made my move in the summer of 2023, after planning it for a while. Most of my reasons were financial or political ones. I wrote this for people to figure out their red line before they move state or country.

https://lindaweide.substack.com/p/a-plan-b-for-catastrophe?r=f0qfn

I did not want to be retired and find that suddenly my health insurance was privatized and would not cover me, and that I had a choice of dying or going bankrupt with any serious illness.

I did not want to work 4 or 6 or 8 extra years so that we could support our child that we had already had at an old age through University instead of sending her to a tuition free university.

I did not want to breathe in the number 3 most polluted air in the US any longer.

I did not want to go through summers where even only 2-4 sweltering weeks, necessitated air conditioning which I know is contributing to global warming.

I did not want to have to stay in the house in the summer because the air was so dirty that I could not breathe it with my asthma.

I did not want to worry constantly that social security or medicare would be cut off or privatized.

I did not want my daughter to be getting a job in a country that tied health care to work so that people feel less free to move jobs.

I did not want to tie my daughter to a country where long term care insurance has a limited number of years that it is applied, and you cannot get what you have paid into, because they deny your claims.

I did not want to live where I would I could not count on the government to protect the food I eat.

I wanted to live in a place where the cost of living is lower without being devoid of things that I like to do.

https://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/rankings_by_country.jsp

I wanted to live in a place where the arts are still supported by the government.

I wanted to live in a place where access to local news is easy to come by. Here where I live every household pays a monthly fee for broadcast news.

I did not want to live where I have to pay for an expensive water filter continuously in order to drink led free, and toxin free water.

I did not want to live in a country where so many people work themselves to death.

I wanted to live in a place where I was not worried about getting shot by someone just for being out of my house.

I wanted to live in a place where I was less likely to be the victim of crime.

I wanted to live in a place that is welcoming to immigrants, which the country I live in now is not, but my city-state is, as is my city-state in the US, but it is under attack in a way that my city-state in Germany is not.

I wanted to live in a place where I would not need to have a car because the public transportation is easily available and it is easier to get around on a bike.

I wanted to live in a place where I could easily travel to other places I want to go to by train instead of plane.

I wanted to live in a place where wind and solar energy are easier to access.

I also live in the city where car sharing was created.

While many of these are financial choices, they are also political. I am able to be active to support the US, while also supporting the country where I live.

As a woman with brown skin, I feel more unsafe in the US than many people may feel, but if you are also feeling unsafe or think that life could be better elsewhere, it is being open minded not unfaithful to your country.

I know it is easier to leave if you are a student or retired. That is why I also recommended to foreign students that they transfer to a university in another country.

Kristi's always been a mixture of absolute, unmeasurable abysses of ignorance and "fuck you, that's why." Her two degrees were both honorary - the BA from South Dakota State University let her use her time as South Dakota's lone US Representative as an official internship (which might be more believable if she was actually attending committees and doing any work other than figuring out who the power brokers were), and the doctorate she just got from Dakota State University was for being her.

And the "FYTW" was everywhere when she killed the raccoon in a cage just for "good family fun" with the grandkids, and when she killed Cricket the pup and the old smelly goat.

And at her commencement speech at DSU where she got the honorary doctorate, she said, "I will tell you that the world still revolves on relationships. People will be successful based on the people that they know and the people that they spend time with.” In other words, it's who you know and who you blow. (yawn) Donald then said Comcast and Comcast's CEO "ought to be investigated."

So expect NBC and Comcast to come groveling any second now. Probably waving a big check.

Dogkiller is only there to effectuate the ethnic cleansing. It's not her responsibility to know what the law is—competence is a bug, not a feature with Maladministration 2.0. And a hampered Federal Government means there is no bulwark against the unreconstructed state-based regimes of terror.

She's going to continue to visit atrocities, up to and including death camps. (N.B. if nobody ever leaves CECOT alive it's a death camp) And a lot of Americans love this because they want to hurt as many vulnerable minorities as possible, even if it makes their own lives worse.

If people wanted competence and humanity they should've elected Kamala Harris, or failing that, not shoved Joe Biden on an ice floe. The minority supporters of this maladministration would've been living their lives just fine under either choice and everyone knows that.

Mace wants attention so desperately that she revenge porns herself?

I think that’s a perfect description of her. She now has pimped herself out.

Seriously, did anyone know this supposed video of her existed until she decided to bring it on the big stage to tell everyone about it? Maybe no one ever explained the Streisand Effect to her.

I was surprised that Melania didn't display the slutty photos of her pretending to be in a Lesbian threesome. They were all over the internet before Maladministration One. Maybe everyone has seen them so there was no need?

That's just the thing, though—EVERYONE had already seen them. But has anyone actually seen this Nancy Mace video of her skulkin' around somewhere nekkid? I mean, before she brought a big blow-up of it to Congress?

The subtitle explains itself: Kristi is a ninny. Although, like the rest of this bunch of Nazi-wannabees, a very dangerous ninny--and she's got a gun she ain't afraid of usin'......well, on puppies, so far. And a goat. That she mostly missed the first time around.

As for Marco--he's adopted the "I'm rubber and you're glue" method of answering questions that all the cool kids in this GQP taught him to use. A much better dodge than when, once upon a time, he couldn't find a way to tell the Tampa Bay Times interviewer whether or not he believed dinosaurs ever existed....

I think it's a combo of "fuck you, that's why" and that when she was prepping she told herself that if you hear "habeas corpus" you tell 'em the president has certain rights...She thought the question was going to be more "The courts have said people have the right to habeas corpus--what do you say to that?" and not a definition.

And I would have empathy for Nancy Mace, because no, nobody should be treated that way. It's horrendous. BUT she's always, always, always out there vocally harming other people and using her life as a shield. I worked with a guy who yelled the n-word at a coworker, and when I had him come in to talk with me about how we're not doing that in the office because it's WRONG, he flew off the handle and screamed about how his wife was from India so how DARE you call me a racist!?

You're a bad person when you purposefully hurt other people. The terrible things we all suffer, or the experiences we've had in life should make us more sympathetic to others, as opposed to being something we hide behind. You get to criticize people based on their behavior and not on what happened to them, or their Black Best Friend, or the fact that they donate to the symphony. You are what you do and say because those are choices.

That's the crucial difference in personalities. Difficulties make some empathetic, whereas others become larger pieces of shit. Politics gives us full display of which type they are.

Like you, I would feel greater empathy for Nancy Mace. She’s a broken woman. Yet, her pathology does not excuse her performance. Congress is not a group therapy session.

Work it out on your own time, and there's no shame in that--it shows courage. And if you're not going to use your trauma to inform your actions towards others in a sympathetic way, you can go to hell.

(this is me talking to Mace, not you, obviously!)
